After the golden sunsets and endless horizons of their one week long vacation , Y/N and Jeongguk returned to the rhythm of their everyday lives. Though their schedules filled quickly, they made a silent promise not to let the weight of work steal away the little moments that meant everything.

"Good morning, Mrs. Jeon," Jeongguk greeted with a warm smile as he entered the kitchen one early morning. Y/N was already bustling around, preparing breakfast. She turned to him, her eyes lighting up at his playful greeting.

"Good morning, Mr. Jeon," she replied, a teasing glint in her gaze. "You're up early Ggukie."

"Couldn't miss my chance to see you before I head to work baby," he said, stepping closer and wrapping his arms around her from behind. He rested his chin on her shoulder, inhaling the soft scent of her hair. "You know, I think mornings have become my favorite part of the day."

Y/N chuckled, leaning back into his embrace. "Is that because you get to eat my cooking or because you get to see me first thing?"

"Both my love," he murmured, pressing a gentle kiss on her temple. "But mostly because I get to see you."

They shared breakfast, savoring not just the meal but each other's company. The laughter over trivial things, the soft glances, and the gentle touches—they were each other's sanctuary amid their busy lives.

Days passed in a blur of work and responsibilities, yet Jeongguk and Y/N found ways to make time stand still, even for a moment. On evenings when they were both home, Jeongguk would sometimes surprise her with little dates.

One evening, Y/N came home to the aroma of fresh pasta and garlic wafting through the house. She looked up, surprised to find Jeongguk in the kitchen, stirring a pot with an intense expression on his face.

"Are you...cooking?" she asked, trying to stifle a laugh.

He looked up with mock offense, a playful glint in his eyes. "Hey, I can cook! I just don't do it often because I don't want to outshine your amazing culinary skills."

She laughed, stepping closer. "Let's see, Chef Jeon. What's on the menu tonight?"

"Spaghetti with my secret tomato sauce," he said, sounding proud. He twirled a spoon of sauce and held it out for her. "Taste test?"

She leaned in, taking a small taste, her eyes widening. "Okay, I have to admit—that's really good."

Jeongguk's smile was warm, his eyes softening as he looked at her. "I'll make it for you anytime you want princess ," he said. "As long as you're here with me."

Her cheeks flushed, and she looked away, trying to hide her smile. "Careful, or I'll start expecting this every night."

As they settled down for dinner, laughter and stories filled the air. They talked about work, shared little victories, and confided in each other about the challenges they faced. It was a comforting routine, yet each night felt unique and special because they were together.

Visiting their parents became another part of their shared routine. Every two weeks, they'd drive out of the city, spending weekends with their families. Jeongguk's mother adored Y/N and would pull her aside, telling her childhood stories about Jeongguk that made Y/N laugh until she was in tears.

"Did you know he used to wear a cape and run around the house, pretending to be a superhero?" his mother whispered to Y/N during one visit. "He was convinced he could fly."

"Eomma!" Jeongguk groaned from across the room, his cheeks flushing as he overheard.

Y/N burst into laughter, giving him a teasing smile. "Superhero, huh? Why didn't you tell me?"
