The morning sun streamed through the hospital room windows, casting a soft glow on Jeongguk's face as he stirred awake. Y/N sat beside his bed, her hand gently clasping his. Her sleepless eyes softened when he blinked groggily and met her gaze.

"You're awake," she said, her voice tender but filled with exhaustion.

Jeongguk nodded slightly, his expression apologetic. "You've been here all night, haven't you?"

"I'm not going anywhere," Y/N replied, brushing her thumb over his hand. "You need me, and I'll be here until you're better."

Jeongguk's lips curved into a faint smile. "You're too good to me."

Y/N's heart clenched at the sight of him so vulnerable, his usual stoic strength diminished. "Ggukie," she murmured, leaning closer. "You have to let yourself rest. I'll take care of everything, okay?"

"Everything?" he asked with a weak chuckle. "That's a lot of responsibility, Mrs. Jeon."

"Responsibility I'm more than ready to handle," Y/N said with determination.

Just then, the door opened, and Jeongguk's mother, Mrs. Jeon, entered with a tray of food. "Y/N, darling, you've been here all night. At least let me take over for a while."

Y/N shook her head, offering a small smile. "I'm fine, eomeonim. I'll stay with him."

Mrs. Jeon placed the tray on the bedside table, glancing at her son. "Jeongguk, I brought some soup. You'll eat it, won't you?"

He hesitated but nodded. "Only if my wife feeds me."

Mrs. Jeon chuckled softly, relieved to see some of his humor intact. "Of course. I'll leave you two alone, then. Call me if you need anything."

As she left, Y/N turned her attention back to Jeongguk. "She's right, you need to eat."

"I'll eat," Jeongguk said, his gaze softening. "But only if you promise to get some rest later."

Y/N rolled her eyes but couldn't suppress her smile. "Fine. Deal."

She helped him sit up and began feeding him the soup, her movements tender and careful. Jeongguk watched her silently, his heart swelling with gratitude and love.

Namjoon, meanwhile, was a force to be reckoned with. His entire demeanor had shifted into that of a calculating strategist. After his conversation with Jeongguk, he wasted no time assembling a team to bring Hyun to justice.

He sat in the Jeon family's boardroom with their legal advisors and security team, his laptop open and files spread across the table.

"Hyun has slipped through the cracks too many times," Namjoon said, his tone sharp. "This time, we leave him no room to escape. I want everything—tax fraud, illegal dealings, connections to criminal organizations—everything he's ever done brought to light."

One of the lawyers leaned forward, adjusting his glasses. "Mr. Jeon, if we proceed with this level of aggression, Hyun will undoubtedly try to retaliate. Are you sure we're prepared for the backlash?"

Namjoon's gaze was cold and unwavering. "Retaliate? He already shot my brother. He's out of moves. This is about making sure he can't hurt anyone ever again. Is that clear?"

The room fell silent, the gravity of his words sinking in.

The next few days were a blur of quiet moments and shared determination. Y/N insisted on staying overnight at the hospital, only leaving briefly to shower and change. She worked with the nurses to understand Jeongguk's medication schedule and diet, determined to ensure his recovery was smooth.
