Jeongguk's breath hitched, his hand trembling as he gently lifted the tiny onesie from the box. His eyes, already glistening with unshed tears, darted back to Y/N as if seeking confirmation. "Baby are you... Are you serious?"

Y/N nodded, her own emotions overwhelming her as tears streamed down her face. She pressed her hands to her mouth, trying to hold back the sobs that threatened to escape. "Yes, Ggukie. I'm serious. We're going to be parents."

The words seemed to hit Jeongguk like a tidal wave. He stared at the little onesie in his hands, his thumb brushing over the soft fabric as though it were the most precious thing in the world. His lips quivered, and he exhaled a shaky breath before his composure completely crumbled.

"Baby..." he whispered, his voice cracking. He let the onesie fall softly back into the box and reached for her. His arms wrapped around her tightly, pulling her into his chest as if he needed to feel her warmth to believe this was real. "I... I don't know what to say. This is—this is everything I've ever wanted, and I didn't even realize how much until right now."

Y/N held onto him just as fiercely, her face buried against his shoulder. "I wanted to tell you sooner, but with everything that's happened, I didn't know when the right time would be. I didn't want to add to your stress, Ggukie. I wanted you to be happy when you found out."

Jeongguk pulled back just enough to cup her face in his hands, his thumbs gently wiping away her tears. "Happy?" he repeated, his voice trembling. "Princess, this... This is the happiest I've ever been in my life. I don't care about anything else right now. Just you and our baby. That's all that matters."

Y/N's lips wobbled as she broke into a teary smile. "You mean it?"

"Of course, I mean it," he said, his eyes shining with conviction. "You've given me the greatest gift, Y/N. How could I not mean it? I'll spend the rest of my life proving to you how grateful I am for this."

Jeongguk's hands moved to her stomach, his touch gentle as if he feared he might disturb the tiny life growing inside her. His palms rested there, and he closed his eyes for a moment, overwhelmed by the thought of becoming a father.

"Our baby," he murmured, almost to himself. "There's a baby in here. Our baby." His voice broke again, and a few tears slipped down his cheeks. "My love, I don't even know how to describe how I'm feeling. It's... it's like everything I've ever done in my life led me to this moment."

Y/N covered his hands with hers, her heart swelling with love for the man in front of her. "I know," she whispered. "I feel the same way. I've dreamed about this, Ggukie. I've dreamed about us having a family. And now it's real."

Jeongguk let out a soft laugh, though it was laced with emotion. "I don't deserve this. I don't deserve you. After everything I've put you through, you're still here, giving me the greatest joy imaginable."

"Stop saying that," Y/N said, her voice firm despite the tears in her eyes. She stepped closer, pressing her forehead against his. "You deserve this, Ggukie. You deserve to be happy. And this baby? This baby is going to grow up with so much love because of you."

Jeongguk let out a shuddering breath, his hands tightening slightly on her waist. "I'm scared, angel", he admitted in a hushed voice. "What if I mess this up? What if I can't protect you both? I've already failed so many times..."

"You haven't failed me," Y/N said softly, cupping his face and forcing him to meet her gaze. "You've never failed me, Jeongguk. And you won't fail this baby either. You're the strongest, most loving man I know. And I have no doubt you'll be the best father."

Her words seemed to break through the last of his fears. Jeongguk exhaled slowly, his eyes locked on hers. "I promise you, Y/N, I'll give this baby everything. I'll give you everything. I'll protect our family with everything I have. I swear it."
