"Alright," Coach Na began, the Hanseong ice hockey team beginning to slam their hands against the wooden table in a drumroll. "Let me announce who will be one of our qualifiers for the Seoul Sports scholarship, going against a co-ed group of talented athletes in Seoul! I'm sure it is expected, but let us prepare ourselves, please...!"

Everyone tapped harder, waiting for Coach Na's words. "Our athlete is... your captain, Ryu Sowon!"

Sowon knew it was going to happen. It hurt to say, but nobody was as good at ice hockey as she was. It was her pride and joy, something she had grown up with since she was still a kid. So, she stood out of her chair proudly and watched the cheers parade in, the group of fifteen others thrilled that their captain made it this far. "Speech! Speech!"

Sowon shot her eyes open, looking at her best friend and teammates. "A speech? I haven't even won the award yet."

"Come on, Sowon, it's set in stone already!" One of their sub-goalies, Haewon, began, boosting her ego. "You've already got university offers to play ice hockey at their school! You're ahead of the game. Give us your speech!"

"I agree, Sowon," Narae teased, elbowing her. Sowon never was good with words, so it was evident that her best friend was attempting to embarrass her. Sowon swatted Narae's touch, shaking her head with strength. "Come on, just one little thing?"

"Fine... Fine!" She stammered, putting up her fist. The rest of the ice hockey team, including their coach, stifled a giggle at her awkward stance, waiting for her to speak. Sowon cleared her throat, beginning her spiel. "I want to thank Coach Na for training me so hard, and, uh... my teammates, especially Narae... for always being there for me and holding me up... and, uh, that's it! My parents, and my older sister, Sohee!"

"Lame speech, Sowon," Xinyu, the main right-winger, commented. Sowon threw a ferocious glare her way, but the Hanseong team was already used to Sowon's insatiable anger. "It's okay. You still have a few months to go before you get it, so you can continue to alter it."
