CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE ; SHE'S STILL MY CRUSH!
Jaeyun bit the pencil with his teeth, fingers tapping against the paper beside him. Sohee was on his phone, reading text messages from their best friend's group chat. Sohee noticed that Jaeyun had been unresponsive all day, out of his mind. "Are you, um, going to the party this weekend?" Sohee started the conversation, watching as Jaeyun shrugged. "I think your girl's going to be there–wait, she isn't your girl anymore, right?"
Jaeyun raised an eyebrow. "What makes you say that?"
"You... didn't see?" Sohee scrolled up in the group chat, faced with a selfie. Turning his phone toward Jaeyun, the Captain of the soccer team saw Sunghoon and Sowon in the pool, making silly faces at the camera. Sunghoon sent a selfie. Some soccer members placed a heart reaction on the picture.
Beomgyu was the first to ask, "What are you guys doing together?"
Sunghoon texted back, "Just messing around. We've been getting close recently, and she's been going to a lot of outings with the rest of the swimming team."
Adding on, Sunghoon added, unprovoked, "We've also been going on dates."
That was the final straw for Jaeyun, and the act had just begun. He slammed Sohee's screen to the desk, causing him to widen his eyes. "This is bullshit," Jaeyun pointed at his phone, the picture replaying in his mind. "I don't know where he found the audacity to send something like that, knowing we fought and shit, but he's brave. I'm going to hit him the next time I see him."
"You guys argued. Technically, if Sunghoon and her are so close in a pool, don't you think they might've–"
"Don't even think about finishing that sentence–"
