A/N: So... what home will Balin choose? Earth or Hell...?

As the family returned home to the safe house, the three grown-ups were laughing with each other as they had their conversation, whilst Balin was starting to get a little drowsy.

They soon parked the car into the garage. On the wall in front of them, there was a clock that read '5:50pm', which was about 10 minutes before their curfew time required by the protection program.

As they got out of the car, Loona then picked up a scent she found of someone so familiar. ...And therefore, so suspicious. Then she perked her ears up to hear that it was only Balin yawning.

"Aww. Someone tired?" she smirked. "No, no." Balin tried protesting until he yawned again.

"Almost bedtime for you, isn't it mate." Elton chuckled. "About that, is that bedtime 7:30 by any chance?" Loona asked them. The two parents gave her a nod and she sighed in relief. She knew deep down that little kids were not only heavy sleepers, but they'd be quite fast ones too.

"Well, I guess we'll probably head in, put the dinner on, and tuck him in for the night." Raven was about to walk over to her, when something else popped into her mind.

"You... want me to stay over for the night?" Balin's eyes widened with surprise, and a little worry too.

"Oh, absolutely." Raven began to explain to the boy. "She may have adopted you, but you can still stay with us if you want. We changed one of the spare rooms into your own custom one. You can bring some of your new toys, and we can enrol you in a new school. You can still keep in touch with your other friends if you ever feel lonely at times, if you'd like all of that."

"Yeah. We could... become a family again." Raven added. Balin loved hearing that from them, but still felt as torn as ever before at the decision.

"Unless... you want to stay with her, don't you?" she finished with a little understanding.

As she saw him getting nervous, Loona then put him down and rubbed the back of her head. She knew this was gonna be hard for the kid and she didn't want to see him sad whatever he chose.

"Well, yeah, we were good enough anytime after he was adopted." Elton said. "Maybe he just... wanted to give us some space." explained Raven to her husband. "This is pretty big for us." "I know it is, dear." Balin's dad sighed.

The kid's eyes then started watering a little bit, and Elton noticed it right away. So he knelt down to the boy's level, and said: "Hey. Bud. You okay?"

It was that moment though, where he got a glimpse of what his Grandpa had said before.

'There are some hard times. But sometimes, the hard's worth seizing but that's what's great.'

With that statement, he was brought back to how his beautiful but still fucked-up new home in Hell had treated him with such kindness, after every hardship he's been through. Most of the demons he met saw his heart while some didn't, but his pure heart made him okay with it.

As Balin's dad gently rubbed his shoulder, he began stuttering as one tear fell down his eye. "Daddy... I love you guys. I do. But I, I..."

He then looked up at Loona, feeling like he was about to choose her.

"I feel like Loona... I'm safe with her." Balin explained. "She adopted me because she saw how scared I was, and I feel like it was there before going to the foster home. Since she introduced me to her co-workers, she's done everything for me. She also remade my new room and bought me some toys, she's played some games with me, I've shown her around my old home, and she... she told me she loves me."
