The room was quiet as Ethan sat at his desk, deep in thought. The morning light filtered through the curtains with a warm light while Ethan was thinking about what to do for the noble meet.

He was trying to make constructs using waterform and he is trying various creative techniques with reading several picture books trying to imagine him doing it inside his mind. He wanted to create an entity that can be controlled like a remote control toy.

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of the door opening, and he looked up to see his mother, Lucia, entering the room with a small carved box in her hands.

Lucia's expression was the usual calm and stoic one but she seemed unusually soft and seemed shy on her steps that only Ethan could recognize. She approached him, her steps shy and placed the box on the table in front of him.

"Ethan," she began talking her voice low and steady. "There's something I want you to have."

Ethan looked at the box, then back at his mother, curious. "What is it?"

Lucia opened the box and there were two things inside it. First one is a beautifully crafted necklace. It was made of a dark, lustrous metal, with a pendant in the shape of a crescent moon, inlaid with a shimmering blue gem that seemed to pulse with a light.

"This is the Blackwood heirloom," Lucia explained, her fingers gently brushing over the pendant. "It has been passed down through our family for generations. It—it holds powerful magic, magic that can you stockpile and unleash."

Ethan reached out to touch the necklace, feeling the cool metal against his skin. "It's beautiful," he murmured.

Lucia nodded, a rare smile touching her lips. "It's also incredibly useful. The pendant contains a reservoir of magical energy that can be drawn upon in times of need. It has 500 times capacity to store mana than normal capacity of the user."

Another thing in the box is an ancient, leather-bound book. The cover was used, yet beautifully preserved. The spine was reinforced, and in the center of the cover was a symbol—a crescent moon which is glowing in black light.

"This is the Blackwood Grimoire," Lucia explained, her fingers gently tracing the designs on the cover. "It's sometime I have earned when I was young and stored it for a while. It contains  our ancestors' knowledge and power. Within its pages are spells, incantations, and rituals that are not available to public."

"Finally! I knew you are hiding something. But why didn't you give me this much earlier " Ethan asked annoyed that his mother hide them from him

"Well, you are a child back then and now you know how to handle yourself. It was the right time for you to use them as it the right time for you to face world " Lucia replied while patting his hair.

Ethan reached out, touching the cool leather of the book. He could feel a pulse of energy beneath his fingertips, as if the book itself was alive, waiting for him to unlock its secrets. "A grimoire," he murmured

Lucia nodded, her rare smile briefly softening her features. "Yes, and it's incredibly powerful. The spells within are not only for protection and battle but healing, and understanding. The grimoire will grow with you, its magic adapting to your needs and enhancing your abilities."

She picked up the necklace and moved behind him and her arms around his neck. As the pendant settled against his chest, Ethan felt a surge of warmth and energy flow through him. It was as if the necklace recognized him, acknowledged him as its rightful owner.

"There," Lucia said, stepping back to admire her work. "It suits you."

Ethan touched the pendant, feeling the power within it. "Thank you, Mother," he said, his voice filled with gratitude.
