Kimora drew closer, she leaned in slightly towards him taking a deep breath near his neck. Ethan knew exactly what she was doing but he didn't want to hide it—Kimora's heightened senses were picking up on something.
When she pulled back, her expression had shifted to one of mild annoyance, though her eyes were twinkled with amusement.
"You've been busy, haven't you Dear~" Kimora said, her voice laced with a teasing accusation.
Ethan blinked, caught off guard by her sudden change in tone. "What do you mean?"
Kimora crossed her arms, a playful smirk tugging at her lips. "You smell like... someone else. Someone that I personally fear."
Ethan hadn't expected Kimora to notice anything unusual, but her sharp instincts were not to be underestimated. He opened his mouth to explain, but Kimora's soft laugh cut him off.
"Oh, I know exactly what it is," she said, her eyes gleaming with a mischievous smile. "And I can't say I'm thrilled about it."
Before Ethan could respond, Marina, who had been quietly observing the exchange, piped up with her innocent voice. "Kimora, what's wrong? Why are you mad at Big Brother?"
Kimora's expression was sour as she looked at Marina. "I'm not mad, sweetheart. I'm just... making sure, big brother doesn't forget who his favorite wife is."
Marina giggled, completely oblivious. "But Big Brother loves all of us!"
Ethan took a dark chocolate from his hand and gave it to Marina as she giggled in joy. She was in delight. "Yaaay!"
Kimora sighed and ruffled Marina's hair. "You're right, Marina. But sometimes, it's good to remind him. Otherwise, I fear some certain females could use his lust for their advantage and take him from us."
Ethan felt a wave of relief wash over him, though he knew this was Kimora's way of making her point. He opened his mouth to say something when Marina suddenly turned serious, her small hands gripping his sleeve tightly.
"Ethan Onii-Chan," Marina began, her voice trembling slightly as she looked up at him with wide, concerned eyes. "I don't want anyone to hurt you."
Ethan knelt down to meet her at eye level, concern now etched on his face. "Marina, what's wrong? Why are you so worried?"
Marina threw her arms around his neck, clinging to him tightly. "I had a bad dream," she whispered, her voice shaking. "A scary Onee-san tried to take you away from me with her sexy charm. I'll protect you, Ethan. I won't let anyone hurt you.....Please don't leave Marina"
Ethan hugged her back, trying to soothe her. "Marina, you don't have to worry about that. I'll be fine, I promise."
But Marina shook her head, her grip tightening around him. "You have to promise me, Ethan! Promise me that you'll stay safe, and that no one will take you away!"
Kimora, who had been watching the interaction, crouched down beside them, her teasing attitude was replaced by sincere concern. She gently stroked Marina's hair, her voice soft and reassuring. "Marina, Ethan is strong. He's not going anywhere. And I'll make sure of that, he is safe."
Marina looked between Ethan and Kimora, her eyes brimming with tears. "You promise, Kimora? You'll help protect him?"
Kimora smiled warmly, nodding as she cupped Marina's cheek. "Of course, I promise. No one's taking Ethan from us."
Ethan felt gratitude to them. He kissed Marina's forehead, pulling her close. "I won't break my promise, Marina. I'll stay safe, and I'll always be here for you."
