Chapter 23

Everyone is talking with each other, talking about their costumes and how they fit until All Might started speaking. Mina leaves off to go join some of her other friends. I lean into Fumikage, him putting his arm around my waist to pull me closer.

"YOU'LL SEE IN FACT, TAKE TWO STEPS AND YOU'LL BE THERE," All MIGHT says, getting the class's attention. "THIS WILL BE AN INDOOR BATTLE TRIAL!"

"VILLAIN CLEANUP IS USUALLY SEEN IN THE OPEN, BUT STATISTICALLY, THE BETTER PART OF IT IS AN INDOOR JOB." All Might explains to us. " MOST ACTS OF VILLAINY ARE COMMITTED INDOORS."

"IMPRISONMENT... HOUSE ARREST... THE BLACK MARKET... IN THIS HERO SATURATED SOCIETY. HEHEHE." All Might Laughs "WHY, ANY VILLAIN WITH INTELLIGENCE IS LURKING IN THE SHADOWS!! FOR THIS TEST YOU'LL SEPARATE INTO "VILLIAN'' AND "HERO" GROUPS."

"FOR A TWO-ON-TWO BATTLE!!" All Might shouts excitedly

Someone asks about the foundational training, and others ask their questions about our lesson. All Might tries to answer all the questions to his best abilities, but he eventually goes back to explaining the battle trials.

"FOR THIS TRAINING, WE'LL HAVE SOME "VILLAINS" GUARD A NUCLEAR WEAPON THEY INTEND ON DEPLOYING! THE HEROES MUST STOP THEM AND THEIR NEFARIOUS SCHEME BEFORE IT'S TO LATE!" All Might says, seeming to read off a note.

'Why doesn't he have his own lesson memorized,' I think to myself.

"IF THE HEROES CAPTURE THE VILLAINS OR REACH THE NUCLEAR CORE BEFORE THE TIME RUNS OUT, THEY WIN. IF THE VILLAINS MANAGE TO KEEP THE CORE THE WHOLE TIME OR CAPTURE THE HEROES, THEY WIN." All Might explains how each team can win before continuing with how each team will be decided. "YOUR TEAMMATES AND OPPONENTS WILL BE CHOSEN BY LOTTERY!"

I feel slightly nervous since I might work with someone I have not actually talked to yet. Probably sensing my nervousness, Fumikage rubs my back to comfort me, and I give him a slight smile.

All Might calls out the groups, and I am with Momo and Fumikage with a girl with a frog quirk. I think her name was Asui. I see Momo walk over as well as Asui.

"AND THE FIRST TWO PAIRS TO DO COMBAT WILL BE THE FOLLOWING," All Might says with his hand in two boxes, one labeled Hero and one Villain. "PAIR A WILL BE HEROES! PAIR D WILL BE VILLAINS!"

"THIS SCENARIO HAS THE VILLAINS INSIDE THE BUILDING FIRST! THEN, AFTER FIVE MINUTES, THE HEROES WILL BE LET IN AS WELL! EVERYONE ELSE WILL BE ABLE TO WATCH WHAT UNFOLDS THROUGH THE SURVEILLANCE CAMERAS!"

"THIS WILL ALLOW YOUNG BAKUGOU AND YOUNG IIDA TO GET INSIDE THE HEADS OF THE VILLAIN KIND! THIS IS A PRACTICAL TRAINING EXERCISE! SO GO ALL OUT WITHOUT FEAR OF INJURY! THOUGH NATURALLY WE'LL CUT SHORT IF THINGS GET OUT OFF HAND..." All Might Explains to us though he focuses on the first two groups to make sure they fully understand before starting.

'Oh, Dad won't be too happy now. I hope everything goes ok during Papa's and Dad's talk cause Dad will be definitely angry about All Might's Class.' I think to myself after hearing him say to go all out without the fear of injury.

"Hello, Ribbit," I hear the Frog Girl say as she finally approaches us. Momo, Fumikage, and I turn to face her so as to not seem rude.

"Oh hello your uh Asui right," I reply.

"Yes, Asui Tsuyu, Kero." She introduces herself with a slight bow.

"I'm Aizawa (Y/n)," I reply, also bowing slightly back.

"Tokoyami Fumikage," Fumikage says next.

"Yazorozo Momo, It's nice to meet you, Asui." Momo Greets Asui with a bright smile and a deep bow.

"It's nice to meet you all as well, Kero," Asui says. "Are you too dating?" She questions, staring at Fumikage and I.

"N-no," I answered.

"No, but we are currently engaged in a courtship to get approval to date from (Y/n)'s parents." Fumikage says.

"Oh, is that what the gift was for," Momo asks, looking at us now.

"Yes, I have conversed with (Y/n)'s Father to start the courtship, and he approved as well as stating he would convince Aizawa Sensei to allow it as well." Fumikage answered somewhat standing up straighter.

I'm seeming very proud

"So your family does the courting for dating as well as ribbit," Tsuyu asks while scratching her cheek slightly. "I thought it was too old fashioned, Kero."

"It is an older tradition, but Aizawa Sensei does not want Baby dating anyways. Besides, I very much like the tradition because it allows time for us to get to know each other and our families better." Tokoyami explains to us his thoughts.

"It does sound interesting. My family is pretty old-fashioned as well, but we don't have courting. Though I am also not allowed to date like baby as they are scared, the person is only with me because of our family's status. " Momo chimes in and sighs out, looking slightly frustrated. "I do understand, though it is not uncommon to meet those who are only interested in money."

"Maybe you should see if they would be ok with courting," I suggest. "There are a lot of steps and there is only one gift with maybe a substantial value until later on in the courtship, and you could require any one being interested in dating you to be the one to initiate all the steps so they would be the one buying most of the gifts and stuff in the beginning."

"Hmm, that is true, baby." Momo states while she thinks about it.

"I could convene with my parents and inquire if it would be acceptable to acquire one of my family's courting cards for your use. As well as their telephone numbers for our parents to convene with one another if you desire," Fumikage states.

"Yes, thank you. I will start drafting a proposal and look up the benefits of courting." Momo says, looking happier now that she has a plan.  

I am so sorry for not posting in a while. I started a job in my career field, so I have been very busy and getting used to no work full-time. I also don't have internet at home anymore and I prefer writing on my computer. I won't say that I am fully back because I plan on moving in January and February, but when I do move, I plan on getting internet again.
