[The Kingdom of Luminara - Throne Room. Enter two elusive figures with golden masks over their face. They stand before Ninus the Constructor, who watches the fires of war rage on from the large stained glass windows beside the king's throne. Ninus turns around, addressing the woman in the golden mask, unlike the others, the mask does not appear to have been grafted to her skin.]

Ninus: Did he survive the procedure?

The Woman in the Golden Mask: The prince is in a stable condition physically, but his mind has been warped in the process.

Ninus: Then Luminara will again know order, a new order. The elves shall take control from here, under their new leader, Zaos Dralguth.

The Woman in the Golden Mask: The senate will never allow the night elf to represent.

Ninus: Oh but they will have no choice. Their hypocrisy is their weakness, you see, Luminara was once a bastion of the night elf's achievement, testament to our greatness. The races of the old age conspired against us, allowed the lessers to live with us, breed with us, taint our pure blood. With that, the weakness of the Dralguth's bloodline lost their only hope of representing their own kingdom.

That was until the young prince, single-handedly stopped a great rebellion, his city on the brink of civil war, fought against the uprising, liberating his great kingdom from those impure scum.

Alas, the battle came with a great cost, both the king and Luminarian senators were all slaughtered in cold blood by the opposition.

The Woman in the Golden Mask: The Magna Carta Divinium. Of course...

Ninus: Article 77 - On Vacancy of a Senatorial Seat.

[Ninus takes out a scroll, detailing the extract from the Magna Carta Divinium, passing it to Raven, it reads the following:]

"In circumstances where a Kingdom's Senator is not directly bound by oath or allegiance to the Crown and is subsequently relieved of their position through death, dismissal, or incapacity, the following provisions shall be enacted:

Interim Authority: Upon the vacancy of such a senatorial seat, the Crown, as the sovereign authority of the realm, shall be empowered to assume all duties, privileges, and responsibilities vested in said Senator. This authority shall be exercised on a permanent basis or until such time that the people of the Senator's district, province, or constituency, by lawful and recognized means, put forth a new representative to fill the vacated office.

Limits of Interim Rule: While holding such interim authority, the Crown must act in accordance with the established customs and laws governing the office of Senator, refraining from imposing any undue decrees that would override the traditional rights of the represented people. Such acts of governance shall be subject to review by the Avruluxian Senate or equivalent governing body.

Reinstatement of Representation: The right of the people to choose their Senator remains paramount. Therefore, the Crown's interim rule shall cease immediately upon the successful election or appointment of a new Senator, who shall thereafter reclaim the full powers and duties of the office.

Duration of Vacancy: Should a new representative not be selected within a reasonable period as determined by the laws or customary practices of the kingdom, the Crown may invoke the right to nominate a provisional Senator. Said nominee shall serve for a temporary term until the people are able to lawfully establish their preferred representative.

This Article shall stand as binding law within the kingdom, ensuring continuity of governance and preserving the balance between royal authority and the will of the people during times of senatorial transition."

Raven: That section about the reinstatement of representation sounds like it might be a problem.

Ninus: As far as the people are aware, this rebellion was stopped by the prince, the very people they once elected to represent them are at fault for this loss of life, in their eyes, he will be the only one fit to represent them.

[to Raven] You'll stay within Luminara, I need you to ensure that should there be a legitimate uprising or even the slightest whisper of low confidence in our new king, you will 'take care' of it.

[To The Woman in the Golden Mask] You'll be left in charge as promised.

The Woman in the Golden Mask: And what of Akasa? did she survive?

Ninus: Nightveil took care of her. [slight pause before he turns to look at The Woman in the Golden Mask] you're not having second thoughts now are you? I really don't want to have to weld that mask onto your face too, I've heard its a rather uncomfortable process. [he grins as he looks towards Raven]

The Woman in the Golden Mask: Of course not.

Ninus: You are dismissed.

[Raven and The Woman in the Golden Mask bow in submission to Ninus, before they exit]

[Enter Nightveil from behind the throne, the Shadow Seeker manifests behind her as she genuflects before Ninus]

Nightveil: What is thy bidding my master?

Ninus: Rise. [he gestures to the Shadow Seeker, who brings Nightveil back to her feet]. They will take over from here.

Nightveil: Can she be trusted without the mask?

Ninus: I was thinking the exact same about you, you didn't kill the girl, did you?

Nightveil: Master I-

Ninus: [places one hand on Nightveil's left shoulder] Today is a victory for our people. By fortune's grace your failure has not hindered our progress.

[Exeunt]
