[Caelestra - The Avruluxian Senate. The heart off law and order in Avrulux, the hall is illuminated by a radiant, holy light pouring through towering, ceiling-high windows. Black and gold chairs encircle the room, each occupied by a senator representing their nation. At the center rests a grand throne, reserved for the senator of Caelestra, the 'hand' of the Divine. Enter Ninus as he watches a heated discussion between senators erupt.]
Senator #1: Proposterous! The idea the mere utterance of grandiose fantasy can lead a kingdom like Luminara into potential civil war is something our history is all too familiar with.
Senator #2: I second the motion, however it would be best to hear the version of events from the very person we were summoned to discuss today.
Senator #1: Take the word of a Dark Elf?! The Magna Carta Divinium is sacred. Need I remind why it was enforced to begin with?
Caelestrian Senator: Order. You were not summoned to measure his guilt, cooperation is required if we are to get to the bottom of this. Approach Ninus.
[Ninus nods his head in acknowledgement to the Caelestrian Senator's order, approaching the centre of the senate to address the matter at hand.]
Ninus: Though it was not common knowledge, King Dralguth and myself were old friends, his son can attest to such a claim. It had been some time since we had last communicated, but he wrote to me, worried that the elected senators who acted on his behalf were conspiring against him.
Senator #1: Slander! Maximus would never ha-
Caelestrian Senator: [Raises a bright white orb that brightly shines as it releases two vibrating pulses that tremor across the hall] We will have order!
Ninus: When I arrived the situation seemed dire, however it was not my intention to play peace maker. Our conversation was brief and unfortunately cut short, the senators had established a plan to overthrow his rule along with the help of many who had lost faith in the late King Dralguth's 'complacent' ruling methods. Amongst them were even some of the ancient beings who served Luminara long before his rule. I witnessed the assassination of his majesty. I was lucky to escape.Fortunately, Palamedes was able to subdue the threats and take control of the city. Prince- [pauses momentarily] King Zaos was able to unify the people once more thus gaining their trust and confidence.
Caelestrian Senator: And what of the senators?
Ninus: Lost to the conflict, there were terrible losses on both sides, no victors, no celebrations on that day, nor the days to come. The losses on both sides were far too great, families divided, a king dead and a kingdom's unification hanging on the hope that Zaos would bring balance once more. I do hope that clarifies some things.
Caelestrian Senator: The Divine is content with your response. Though, it appears we are not quite finished. There is another matter that troubles you Night Elf.
