One Last Chance

Surprise Date

Engfa and Charlotte were sitting in Boss Nawat’s office, talking idly about their pets and their schedule for the week when Boss finally entered. They greeted him politely, they knew the purpose of the meeting and had also talked about it in private with each other.

“Sawadeeka, you two. How are you?” Boss smiled as he looked at the couple holding hands opposite him.

“We’re good, Boss. How is your health lately?” Charlotte smiled back.

“Good, everything is better. Now, as you two know the demand for you two to have a movie or a tv series is increasing over the months. What do you two think first?”

“Char and I had an in depth talk and we agreed to challenge ourselves to a movie this time instead of a tv series but there are a few conditions we must set.” Engfa started while Charlotte nodded seriously next to her.

“I’m leaning more towards a movie as well, actually. But no matter, let’s hear what your limits are first.”

“First and most importantly, strictly no explicit love scenes.” Engfa said firmly and seriously.

Boss raised his eyebrow as the entire show business profited the most from this. He frowned, “Lesser than Love Bully?”

“Way lesser than Love Bully.” Charlotte affirmed.

“But we won’t show any skin, Love Bully was pretty tame compared to other gl films.” Boss complained, “You know now that the two of you are officially dating, the demand is higher than ever.”

“It is precisely because Char and I are dating that we want to protect each other and our privacy. Our relationship had been monetized before we even met in real life, profit and fame are no longer a priority for us, Boss.” Engfa explained, “We know everyone is desperate to see any part of our dating life, but we refuse to reveal the intimate part of it.”

Boss saw the determined looks on the women’s faces and sighed heavily, “So what do you want the movie to be about?”

“There are plenty of movies that are successful without it being too sexual or physical, we can focus the plot more on the emotional side. We want the movie to reflect us, maybe with a heartbreaking plot with a happy ending.” Charlotte suggested hopefully, “Take Titanic for example, it was purely romantic but it was so emotional it laid an everlasting effect on the whole world.”

Boss nodded in agreement, the fact was surely true but all of Englot’s past works had love scenes, he was worried there would be dissatisfaction from the sponsors and audience.

“What is your second condition?” He asked again,

“We’re okay with having love rivals if there are any in the script, but no kissing and obviously no love scenes between us with other people.” Engfa said.

Boss chuckled out loud and shook his head, “You two are very possessive towards each other, I should have seen this coming. But I’m okay with this since I’m afraid there would be backlash if there are any. Nobody ever likes it when you two are close with somebody else.”

Charlotte laughed along, “Well I’m glad that’s settled. Lately we don’t even want each other to post bikini pics on social media.”

Engfa grinned, “Only cuz there are too many hickies.”

“Engfa!” Charlotte and Boss yelled at the same time while the older woman laughed out loud.

Charlotte slapped her girlfriend’s arm while Boss clapped a hand to his forehead. “I did not need to know that, you two.”

“Sorry, sorry. But I think that’s our only request, Boss.” Engfa regained her breath and said,

Boss nodded seriously, “Okay, I’ll discuss with some directors and come back with a few options. We’ll let you two choose the script.”
