Charlotte was dropped off at home with gentle instructions from her protective wife to rest and not overthink. P’Sun had dropped her off at home before sending his boss to the club.

At first, Charlotte wanted to follow because she didn't want to be alone. But, the thought of entering the club was daunting and made her anxious. Engfa immediately denied her from following, kissed her forehead and told her to be good. And so, she was now alone with her kids.

“Phalo, Tofu, Kyiew?” Charlotte called out the moment she got home. She found them in their own personal playroom and quickly cuddled her bunny.

“Phalo, something scary happened to mummy.” She mumbled sadly to her rabbit whilst the dogs cuddled by her sides. “I'm glad I'm home.”

She carried her bunny and led her children into the master bedroom. Then, she changed her outfit into one of Engfa's favorite sweaters and slept on her wife's side of the bed. Burying her nose into the pillow, she could still smell the unique scent of her wife that brought her comfort.

Finally having the time and complete silence around her, her mind couldn't help but remember everything that happened. She gave Nuay the next few days off as well as the whole incident was traumatizing to the both of them.

The memories came in flashes, the thoughts turned into a nightmare. She began to sweat and frown in her fitful rest. The brain is a wonderful and cursed thing. When it doesn't remember or know something clearly, it creates its own imagery to fill in the gaps. It could be terrifying, sometimes making a situation feel worse than the reality of what happened.

She jerked awake and screamed, “P’Fa!” Panting, sweating even in an air conditioned room, it took her a while to notice what woke her up.

The doorbell kept ringing, it made her anxieties even worse. What if it was Kaito, what if he came to take revenge, what if, what if….

Her phone received a few messages and it took another few seconds for her dazed mind to register. She blinked at the odd time, it seemed she had only fallen asleep for 10 minutes but it felt like hours had passed.

She shakily checked her messages, her mind slowly calming down when she saw it was from Engfa and Marima. She instinctively checked her wife's messages first.

Teerak, I know you'll be scared to be alone. I asked Marima to come over.”

“Don't be scared.”

“Even when Fa is not by your side, I am always with you.”

“Call me anytime.”

“Love you.”

Reading Engfa's words, hearing her gentle, firm voice in her mind, it felt like Charlotte was stuck underwater and finally rose her head above water to get a deep, fresh breath. Cold air rushed into her lungs and she finally felt alive again.

She checked Marima’s messages and realized she was already here. No wonder someone had been ringing the bell consistently, she must have been worried. Charlotte quickly went downstairs whilst replying to the both of them.

Mar is here already, thank you so much for knowing me.

I love you”

The door opened to Marima and Liam. The boy yelled and jumped into Char's arms like a koala, while Marima was also very glad to see her.

“Hi, Mar. Hi, Liam!!” Charlotte's mind quickly got distracted by Liam's overly enthusiastic rant. “Come in first, come in.”

“Lottie, can I play with Tofu and Kyiew? I bought a sports car!!” Liam jumped up and down with his controller and toy car.
