On a certain day in early November, Charlotte hummed an English song under her breath as she came home from work. She was in a wonderful mood after another great day at work.

“I'm home, my loves!” She said sweetly when she came home as her dogs came to greet her with tails wagging. “Hi, darlings!” She bent down to give Gyo and Tofu kisses.

“Where's mummy?” Char talked to them, but she could already smell the wonderful aroma of spices and curries in the air. She dropped her bags on the table and walked to the kitchen where Engfa was dancing and singing while cooking.

Charlotte smiled as she leaned on the entrance walls, memorizing the goofy carefree version of her girlfriend. Engfa turned and her eyes lit up at her presence.

“Teerak, you're home!” Engfa ceased the fire and came over to hug her. They have a beautiful habit of hugging each other whenever one of them comes home.

Charlotte hugged her and kissed her neck before they shared a sweet kiss. Her girlfriend was so beautiful like this, her face bare except for a happy smile, wearing a loose oversized tee and shorts hidden underneath. Charlotte used to think she would want her future partner to be taller than her until she met Engfa. Now, she couldn't imagine anyone other than the shorter woman in her arms.

“What are you cooking, love?” Charlotte asked as she opened the lid and peered in. Her mouth salivated.

Engfa hugged her around her waist, “Just a simple soup and some dishes.”

“Yummy.” Charlotte stole a small bit of the fried eggs.

“Hey! No stealing!” Engfa reprimanded but a happy smile remained on her face.

“You're home early tonight?” Char asked as she leaned on the countertop, her hands loosely on Engfa's hips.

“I wrapped things up quickly at the office today. I have a surprise for you.”

“You do?” Char's face lit up.

Engfa nodded and showed her phone screen to Charlotte. The younger woman squinted her eyes and read the content before surprise was once again on her face.

“We're going to the Aquarium?!”

“This Thursday.” Engfa nodded, a matching grin on her face.

“Our one year anniversary.” Charlotte grinned, “I made a reservation at an Omakase.”

“Oh, I did too! Where did you book?” Engfa asked,

“Meruto Sushi.”

Engfa's mouth dropped, after a bit she said, “Me too.”

“No way!” Charlotte was equally shocked, she started laughing. “This is getting creepy, stop reading my mind, Fa!”

“You stop reading my mind, Char!” Engfa also laughed as she shook her head.

Charlotte was so happy she hugged Engfa's waist until her feet lifted from the floor.

“Gyahh!!!” Engfa shrieked and hugged Charlotte's neck in surprise.

“My soulmate~” Charlotte looked into Engfa's eyes and grinned in adoration. Engfa bent her head down and kissed her, both of them with large smiles on their lips.

Love had never felt so good.

On Thursday Morning, Engfa put their kids into her BMW. Each was in their couriers and safely strapped to her car seat. They had decided to take the dogs along but leave Phalo with Han as the rabbit could not handle crowds or new animal scents. Especially at her senior age, Charlotte was very protective over her bunny and did not want to give Phalo any unnecessary stress that could turn fatal.
