Until I Found You

The grand Hall was decorated with sunflowers and tulips of all colors, on one side of the wall there was a row full of money and flower bouquets. Balloons and banners hung around the walls, cardboard standees of Charlotte, Engfa, Phalo, Gyo and Tofu were placed in a few strategic planners.

On the stage, the LED screen displayed largely ‘HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHARLOTTE’. The speakers were playing lively music, the hall was full of friends and fans alike, the energy was absolutely positive. 

The MC, P’Champ entered the stage and started the show to applause and cheers.

“Tonight is Charlotte Austin's 29th birthday celebration. Let us welcome the one and only birthday girl to the stage!”

Charlotte appeared in a beautiful french style white dress that reached mid calves, the long dress accentuated her long and slim figure. The front modest square neck showed her class and maturity. When she twirled a circle, her tone back was exposed, the skirt shimmered beautifully under the light. 

The crowd was screaming and cheering loudly, 

“P’Char suay mak!”

“P’Char is an angel!” 

Charlotte smiled prettily, her brown eyes sparkled with happiness along with her rosy cheeks. She held the mike and waved everyone hello.

“Hi everyone, thank you for coming to my birthday celebration!” Charlotte greeted happily, then bowed to Papa Nawat on the stage next to P’Champ. “Thank you Papa for organizing and taking good care of me.” 

Mr Nawat grinned, “Happy Birthday Charlotte, I wish you success, health and happiness. You have been through a lot of hardship and I am very proud of you.” 

Charlotte exchanged a hug with him. No matter what had happened in the past, she was still grateful for him in her life. She thanked him profusely, then she turned to her fans and began her speech,

“I want to thank everyone for your support, especially to my fan club, Smiley. Without your unconditional love and acceptance, I would not have achieved the success that I have today. I would have succumbed to all the negativity and darkness surrounding me. Because of your constant encouragement, I have the courage to continue fighting everyday for my life, for my work, and for my love.” Charlotte was a little emotional when she said this. After this speech, she curtsey sincerely to the large crowd who exploded in cheers. 

“I don’t want to shed any tears, tonight will be a happy night for everyone. Please enjoy yourself na.” Charlotte smiled happily. On que, the music started and she began singing. 

She sang a Thai song by Chanisara, a song about enduring hardship and achieving success. Her singing had greatly improved over the years, her previous slightly childish voice had softened and matured, her notes were accurate as she performed. 

Everyone was very proud of her when the last note was belted out, Char grinned as she spoke to the mike, 

“Is everyone ready for the next song?”

“Yesssss!” The crowd cheered then guitar solo filled the speaker before a familiar melodic voice sang. The crowd cheered louder when a beautiful figure stepped onto the stage.

“Charlotte, wrap me up in all your-
I want you in my arms
Oh, let me hold you
I’ll never let you go again
Like I did 

Oh I used to say

Charlotte turned around and reached out her hand for her stunning girlfriend to hold. Engfa was dressed in a handsome oversized red suit with a button up collared-shirt, her hair was let down loosely as she walked out confidently in her heels.
