Chapter 026

Myra's point of view

I bursted into a boisterous laughter. He looked dead serious and that just added more to the amusement of the whole situation. Who is he here to take home or save? Is he okay mentally or just point-black crazy ?

"Can you repeat yourself?" I quested, the laughter in my tone dying down.

"I said-"

"And after you do that, tell me you can hear yourself and what you sound like. Okay?"

His mouth remained opened but no words came out. He sighed, glancing at his bitch in crime before his eyes came back to me.

"I think it'll be better if I just show you."

Before I could figure out what he meant by that, he closed the distance separating and latched a hold onto my wrist and the rest went void.

I didn't know how but I watched my whole surroundings transformed into a nexus space that has only me and Logan present at the base. Everywhere had become stark white and pointless, and before I could draw the moment in better the light space shadowed into darkness.

Eerie darkness that forced goosebumps over my skin as we descended the core. I gasped, terrified by wherever or whatever this place is.

One look and it screams danger, terror, fear, and death. I jerked my hand away from Logan to hug myself.

"Where are we and what is this?" I quizzed, feeling unease all over my system.

"Wait for it," he responded slowly.

And right on cue was a dimmed light litted onto a cage, and inside this cage was a big black wolf, enormous and huge, probably the biggest beast I've ever seen before. He was locked inside the cage and the moment the light shined on both of us beneath this trudging darkness, the fury rising in his eyes dissipated.

"That's your mate's wolf, locked in a cage," Logan stated from my side where he stood.

I stared at the beast, his soft Ruby eyes perched on me with a hidden message. Like a compelled subject, I approached him, the earlier fear in my body nowhere to be found as I closed the distance between me and him.

He also came forth, before curling back so close to me with only the metallic bars keeping us apart. I stretched my hand into the vertical space and placed it on his fluffy head with the softest and warmest fur.

"Salome can you see and feel this, this is your mate, our mate. You just requested to see him and know what he looks like. The Goddess heard your wish and here you go," I called out to her.

He cooed at my touch, his lids briefly snapping close to show how much he wanted and liked it.

"Alright that's enough." I heard Logan's voice and the next thing I knew I was back in my training room with Logan's hand on my shoulder this time.

I grimaced before smacking his hand away, "Don't you dare ever in your life lay those filthy hands on me again," I warned, my tone venomous and filled with hatred.

"That was your mate's wolf, why would your mate have his wolf locked in a cage?" He asked, obviously not expecting his answer from me.

Although this is new for Logan, how was he able to get us in Lucas' head? Is he some kind wizard or demon now?

Should I be scared of him or call for help. By take me home, does he mean willingly or forcefully?

Dread washed into my face as I began stepping back and from him. "Logan please what are you doing here? Please get out of here and leave my life alone, I'm warning you now for I fear what would be your fate if I should inform my mate," I said to him while creating a better distance between us.

I was now near a window, there are two windows opened and provided in this took built among the places on the third floor of the palace, although it's a wide room but only two windows were made to allow natural ventilation. I was now close to the one on the left side he case he tries any shit, I'd just jump down and call for help.

"Your mate is not who you think he is, I'm just trying to prove that for you and save you from the doom you think is your happy ending." His lips smacked as he rubbed a palm against his forehead. "I'm not trying to hurt you, I swear by my life and by everything I love and cherish."

He does seem honest and genuine, but I will be a fool to believe the tiniest truth that comes out of his poisonous mouth.

"Oh so you're saying I'm safe with you? Huh? I'm safe with the man that has tortured me for years right?" I chuckled sarcastically, "You must be the dumb fuck if you think I'm going to believe any of your craziness. My mate's wolf is locked in a cage, so what does that prove? That he's going to be the same monster you were to me?" I corked my brows at him, rage building up inside me and fueling my courage.

"Newsflash Logan, he's the total opposite. I mean take a fine look at me, was I as wretched as I was when I was with you and your-" I paused to exhale a deep breath, he's not going to make me lose it because he's not worth it.

He was about to reply when the door pushed open and Linda showed up unannounced to the gathering. She looked around the strange faces and how close I stood with the wall near the window.

"Who are you people? What are you doing here, guar-" She suddenly went silent and never finished her statement where I assumed she wanted to yell for the guards.

Her suspicions and panic faded as she resumed a more relaxed demeanor, she walked past Logan's bitch and Logan himself as if they weren't there and she couldn't see them.

"Are you okay, Your Highness?" She asked upon noticing how close I merged myself with the wall, now suspicious about my well-being.

"Go get the guards, Linda," I instructed in a stiff tone.

"Why? For what reason? Are you in any danger?" She looked around to scan the room and came back to me, "Did anyone come to threaten to you?"

How is she not seeing Logan? Is Logan actually here? What is going on? I think I'm running mad, but she saw when she first came in.

So maybe that bitch is a witch and casted a spell on her.

"Do you want me to go get His Majesty, King Lucas?"

"Yes, yes, yes please,"

"Alright," she agreed and slowly backed away and out of the room.

"If I were you both I'd scram before my mate gets here, I can assure you both that if he goes ballistic, I'd want him to rather than pity you guys," I cautioned for the sake of the good in me.

"That is if he comes, and while he hasn't. How about reverting back to the crucial topic at hand, about how you need to reject your mate and forgive me." He curved a petty smirk.

And I got what he meant at once, Lucas isn't coming anytime soon. And I have zilch knowledge on how mind-link works so I can call for him.
