Chapter 018

Logan's point of view

What do we know about the mind? Other than it being a complex or a multifaceted concept. However, it's a collective aspects of consciousness, perception, thinking, feeling, and volition. The mind enables various beings to experience, process information, and interact with the world around them. It encompasses various mental faculties.

Like our thoughts, emotions, perceptions, memories, imagination, reasoning, intuition, and willpower. The mind is often seen as a product of the brain's activity, while in reality its nature or scope extend far beyond the physical brain, it incorporate the aspects of consciousness, spirit, and psyche.

I looked further into the depth of her consciousness, there my answer played out apparent, "You farted during a council meeting, and it was a smelly one." I scrunched my nose in disgust, can't believe it was Deena!

Deena gasped, "Logan!!!" She called, mortified.

"What? You asked me to check for your most embarrassing memory, and I did exactly that." I chuckled at her crimson face, but it was nothing to be ashamed of. She was seven at that time, but at that time we all thought it was Elder Formiga and we mocked him for years about it not knowing my actual best friend was behind it.

"I wasn't expecting you to catch it up, looks like you're improving for real. A week and you're this good, must be your determination to get her back huh?"

I chuckled as a response to her words. I admit I'm determined to get her back, but I also wanted revenge on the Alpha King for what he did to my mother.

A part of me thinks she deserves such fate, but the loving part of me is devastated that's what she got. She never had the chance to redeem myself, and blindly let my father taint her humanity.

I could picture my mother learning Myra is my mate and how I've decided to not execute her and rather accept her, I could picture her already switching sides once we have an hour long conversation of how I'm doing the right thing.

She got corrupted by my father, just like I did and many others. If my father was the one dead or killed by the Alpha King, I'd be less sad and more concentrated on getting Myra back.

Aunt Maureen came in at the perfect time, in her hands were different herbs ingredients like she calls it.

"What are all these for again?" I questioned as I stood up to collect everything from her.

"I hope it's not for fortifying Logan because he's already good enough," Deena backed me up. She's witness the tons of stuff I had to down, chew, drink and use on myself to hasten my psychic abilities into perfection.

"Really?" Aunt Maureen gawked for more explanation.

"He sniffed out a secret of two decades, so yeah I meant what I said."

"I just think I've gotten extremely better we should now stop with the excessive herbs intake," I rephrased Deena's point.

"Fine, but I have to test you myself so follow me." She waved at me in gesture for her words.

We walked into her private room, the room she told me she spent hours of her free time meditating and training to be a powerful psychic. It's an empty room, nothing inside but the hollow space of the confinement.

Deena had to stay behind because this doesn't require her presence.

I took my position in front of my aunt as she also sat down. She stretched out her palms for me to place mine.
