  Chapter 048

   Logan's point of view

I started my search for my body from Myra's room where I went into my astral form, there I met that my physical form has been shifted and was no longer in place or in sight.

The astral form allowed me a better speed to movement, so I floated and phased through the walls easily as I looked everywhere for my body.

What could have happened? I made the mistake when I didn't close her door after I went in. That was too careless of me, and now there's a consequence to deal with.

I'm sure this is Lucas's handiwork, one of his guards that wasn't on my side must have seen me and reported my strange presence to him. He must have ordered my apprehension, and I could only guess what he asked for them to do to me.

I halted my movements when I caught a whiff of my own scent, I'm familiar with it and could make it out anywhere at anytime. Courtesy of my wolf, if he hadn't yearn for me then I might as well as give up on returning to my body.

I followed the scent, and soon I was far away from the palace and going into the city. It was night already, so where is the Alpha King taking my body, because the scent was on the move and I wasn't catching up any faster.

Soon I found myself far from the city, away from the capital and tracing my own scent into the wood. The day had already darkened, so where exactly are my captors taking my body? And am I even sure my sole captor is the Alpha King? Cause he has a dungeon beneath his palace, and would have killed me by now if it's him.

Or maybe he wants to torture me first, and doesn't want me in his palace or his dungeon.

Finally my scent became stronger and I neared my body at a faster pace. I saw I'm now in what seem like a small assemblage of shelter, there are wood houses and a bonfire.

I traced my body inside the back of a van, where I met my physical form tied up and blindfolded. I'd dive back into myself, but I needed information on where I was and those who took me.

And so I decided to look around the settlement, right in the middle of the district was a small house that has two men outside and harmed.

There should lies my answer. I went in without hesitation, and met a group men on their feet that seemed engrossed in whatever conversation they were having.

"I just got a word back from his beta, he said we're going to kill him, but he wants to be here when we do it so we have to wait for him. He said he's on his way already," One of them had said, and I assumed the it he spoke about doing referenced me.

"Don't you think this is too easy? Do you think the Alpha King can be trusted? Why would he give us such an easy task to get done? I mean we didn't even exhaust much sweat on apprehending the said subject, plus we found him in his palace, under his own roof. Which means if he'd wanted to get him all these while, he would have, but instead chose for us to go get him. I don't trust this man, and I don't know why we're hellbent on becoming his ally," another one criticized, and from his words I realized my captors were the Lycans.

   Wow!

I didn't expect them to be this soon and fast with their actions. Should I be worried on how close they've gotten with my pack's annihilation?

"I wouldn't say it's easy or shady. He also wanted us to wipe out his pack, and did you fail to bring into account that this pack has moved location and no longer reside at their original neighborhood. Also what if the man in our captive is his enemy, perhaps he was there because he wanted to kill him but we got to him first."

"Shouldn't it be a good news that he wants to kill him?"

"Except we know who the Alpha King is, that dude is gonna fail and dies a miserable death. This is the Alpha King in talk, do you really think he can die at the hands of that mutt?"

They argued on and on over me, and when it got tiring I left their midst and returned back to my body.

"Argh!" I groaned at the sharp pain that tugged my head. They really hit me hard for the wound not to have closed up by now.

I felt weak, as though I had just lift the heaviest ton of weight. My muscles were drained, and I had to question why I feel this way.

'While you were out, they dosed us with wolfsbane. That's why I couldn't heal the wound on your head,' My wolf explained to me.

   Shit!

   We need to recuperate quickly.

My hands were tied behind my back, and the folds on my face was still there, there's no way I'll be able to free myself.

So instead I strategized on how to escape whenever they come to finish up, cause according to them they are waiting for the King's beta to arrive for he'd like to witness the murder.

I just pray to the goddess none of them would be immune to my enslavement, or this would sure turn messier and bloody than I intend.

There are other ways to fight them than take over their minds, all I need is for my strength to be back at forty percent maximum.

I need to get out of here, and figure out a way to get Myra out of her coma.

The coma wasn't natural, and I feel it has to do with that cut near her stomach. How could she have gotten that cut though?

I thought the Alpha King would burn the head whoever dares breath the wrong air around her? Yet it was around him, probably one of his enemy got to Myra.

I'm going to save Myra and show her what kind of man her mate is, and hopefully then she won't refuse my offer for us to go away.

I really am sorry for what I've done to her, and ready to make it up for the rest of my lives. If only she can see into my heart and know just how sorry I am, and how I never meant to be like or understood why I was like that.

I will prove to her that I'm worth giving a chance, even if it's the last thing I do on earth.
