aera's pov
After the school day ended, I returned to the mansion, my mind racing with thoughts about Jimin and the strange sense of familiarity that lingered. I couldn't shake the feeling that there was something more to him than what met the eye, but his behavior had been so normal—almost too normal. It was time to regroup with my team and figure out our next move.
As night fell, I gathered with my team in the underground briefing room of the mansion. The dimly lit space was filled with monitors and maps, all of which were covered with intel on various targets. Kai, Leo, and Felix were already there, discussing the day's events.
Kai looked up as I entered. "How did it go?" he asked, his voice filled with curiosity.
I sat down at the head of the table, crossing my arms. "Jimin's behavior was surprisingly normal. He's very talkative, eager to make friends, and introduced me to his group. But there's something off... I can't quite put my finger on it."
Leo leaned forward, his brow furrowed. "Off, how? Did he give away any clues?"
I shook my head. "No, nothing obvious. But he's too eager. It's almost like he's trying to make himself seem harmless."
Felix chimed in, "He could be hiding something, or maybe he's just naturally friendly. It's hard to say without more information."
Kai nodded, considering the possibilities. "We need to dig deeper. But if he's as good at hiding his true nature as you say, it won't be easy. We can't rush this."
I agreed. "Let's give it a few days. We need to observe him more, see if he slips up or if we can find any connection to the network. In the meantime, I'll maintain my cover at the school and try to get closer to him."
Felix tapped a few keys on his laptop, bringing up a list of Jimin's known associates and activities. "We should also look into his background more thoroughly, see if there's anything we missed."
Leo leaned back in his chair, considering. "You should try to get his phone number or address. It might give us another way to track him, maybe even dig into his personal life more."
I nodded. "I'll work on that. It might take some time, but it could give us the edge we need."
The meeting ended with a clear plan: patience and observation. We couldn't afford to make any mistakes. I knew that uncovering the truth behind Jimin's connections would be crucial to my mission, but it would require careful maneuvering.
As I headed back to my room, the weight of the day pressed heavily on me. The mission was becoming more complicated than I had anticipated, but I was determined to see it through. For my father's sake.
