12) Vampire Demon

Drake-

Drake couldn't stop staring at the child, Veronica. She's strange looking, with silver hair, big round red eyes, and chubby cheeks.

His intrusive thoughts kicked in, and he pinched her cheeks. She looks up at him with her big round eyes and puffed-out cheeks. She was eating a blueberry muffin. She had crumbs on her cheeks. After pinching them, he wiped the crumbs off.

"Daddy, no pinching cheeks," Salome rubbed Veronica's cheeks.

"I couldn't control myself; her cheeks are chubby," he said.

Tiara giggle. "Veronica is an adorable child, isn't she?"

"Yeah, she looks so unrealistic," Drake sat down for breakfast.

He and Sebastian arrived late last night on Sunday.

"Salome, hurry up; you'll be late," Tiara said.

"But who's going to take care of her?" Salome hugged Veronica. "Can't I take her with me?"

"She will attend school, I think," Drake said. "For now, she has to stay home."

Sebastian pulled Salome away from Veronica. "Come on, we'll be late." Sebastian had Salome's backpack slung over his shoulder along with his.

"Have a good day at school!"

Drake looks down at Veronica.

"I believe someone is coming to get her soon," Drake pulled Tiara close, tenderly, and affectionately nibbled her shoulders.

She let out a low moan, and he had to stop.

Veronica tugged on his pants. Drake picked her up and set her on the kitchen counter. "Yes?" Tiara let him know the child couldn't speak.

She blinks and grabs a piece of bacon.

He ruffles her hair.

Drake isn't fond of vampires, but he would never hate a child. He hates admitting how disturbed he was about the hunters and their attacks on the vampire.

How many innocent children have died at their hands? Did they suffer? Was it a quick death? Those thoughts keep bothering him.

For the whole day, the kid followed him. He was going through some documents with Veronica napping on the couch.

At around one o'clock, a man and woman arrived with Margaret. The whole clan became tense at the appearance of vampires. Drake reassures them these people mean no harm.

"Come on," Drake said. "The child is asleep."

The woman entered and made her way to the child; upon seeing the child, she sighed out of relief. "I was so worried."

"Drake, this is Vlad Jr. and his wife, Sariya."

Drake shook their hands. "This is my fiance Tiara."

Tiara smiled. "Hi, don't worry, we took good care of her."

"Thank you," Sariya smiled.

Vampires are beautiful creatures. Drake could've fallen for this woman if it wasn't for Tiara being his soulmate. Tiara is the most attractive to him.

"Who is the child?" Drake asked. "I need to know who or what I'm dealing with. I will help you."

Vlad had a grim expression. "She's a demon vampire."

Drake had to sit down. "Please sit."

"I'll make some tea," Margaret said.

Tiara went and helped her.
