Drake-
Unbelievable.
Russell's father attacked the vampire family and took the child. The child is safe with Tiara and Margaret.
Drake can't believe that idiot did that. The Elder is furious. She has locked herself in the temple to consult the Great Wolf. Whatever decision the Great Wolf makes about Russell's father won't be good.
"Salome is a brave girl," Kiba said. "Does your child have no sense of danger or fear?"
Drake groaned and let out a loud sigh. "I'm honestly not sure what goes through my daughter's head. She's in her little world."
Kiba laughed, holding his stomach. It is not that funny. "I feel that the child will be a fearless leader."
"A woman cannot rule," Brock said.
Drake allows Brock to think about what he has said. He didn't seem to understand his words. So Clay helped him.
"You are aware that the Elder is a woman? Right?" Clay snickers and clears his throat. He wasn't the only one who wanted to laugh at Brock's stupid comment.
Brock turned red.
The doors to the temple open, and the Elder sighed. "Russell, your father will be imprisoned; the Great Wolf has already sent guardians to capture him; also, why are you allowing your father to lead your clan when he is no longer a leader?"
Drake glared; why is this bastard acting scared? Drake knows how aggressive Russell can be. He is obsessed with Tiara.
"My father is strict," Russell said. "I didn't know how to get my father to stop."
The Elder shook her head. "Honestly, you are the weakest Alpha. Get your act together and stop obsessing over things that you can't have. Don't cross that line, Russell; I'm warning you now: get that disturbing thought out of your head. Don't forget everyone; your mind is like an open book to me."
Drake snarled; he knew what Russell was thinking. He didn't think the Elder knew about it. And he forgot she could read their thoughts. Magic spells don't work on their minds.
"No, get home, Drake; Clay, stick around for a moment."
"I'll see you soon," Kiba said.
Drake nodded.
Everyone left; only Drake, Clay, and Sebastian stuck around. Sebastian waited in the lobby.
The Elder leads them into the temple. The doors closed behind them, and she stood in front of a statue of an enormous white wolf with a moon and sun on their forehead and a crown made of gold.
"I know about the curse," the Elder lit some candles. "I'll say it now; no one can break it."
Clay let out an angry growl. "What?"
"Margaret is prepping a potion, though?" Drake frowned.
"That's for Tiara," the Elder moves along the temple, lighting the candles. "The potion will completely dispel her."
Clay clenched his hands. "But won't the curse attack Tiara again if I look at her?"
"No," the Elder blew the match and set it on a tray. She turns to face them. "Clay has to break the curse alone; Margaret will explain it. But it would be best if you take the first step. Clay, you can't hide behind a false mask. You know what I mean. Oh, the young witch Rose. Be careful with her mother. Her mother cherishes her, but not for the right reasons. I suggest that the moment the girl graduates, you take her as your mate. Meaning, bed her immediately and tighten the bond."
