THE SIXTH YEARS' FREE PERIODS WERE supposed to be a time dedicated to catching up with school work and preparing for impending exams, and yet instead Cassiopeia was forced to spend them holed up in the library.

Draco left her completely in the dark about what he had been planning, and so she was left to come up with her own ideas in case whatever Draco was attempting would fail.

Killing Dumbledore would be one thing, but getting past every single other teacher without getting apprehended as well seemed near impossible. That was obviously where the death eaters would come in, but getting them inside felt just as difficult.

But what would happen if the twins really did manage to sneak them in? They would wreak havoc over the school, putting the lives of both students and teachers in danger. How could Cassiopeia live with herself if even more people would die that day? Yes, she would be saving herself and her family, but would that be worth the lives lost?

Cassiopeia rubbed her temple, trying to silence her inner voices of conflict. Trying to complete her task was difficult enough, and overthinking was not making her situation any better.

She wished she had someone to talk to. Harry was completely out of the option — although she cherished their time together by the fireplace when everyone else was asleep, he wasn't exactly the best candidate to talk to about killing Dumbledore.

Perhaps Theo might understand, him also being the son of a death eater. He would know that she never wanted any of this. But at the same time, she felt to ashamed with herself to bring it up to him — how could she? Hey Theo, nice robes, did I mention I'm a death eater and need to kill Dumbledore in order to stay alive?

The one person in the entire castle perfect to talk to was ironically her brother, who currently hated her guts. The twins were no stranger to their conflicts, but this time it hurt particularly more knowing that Draco would rather shut her out of his life completely than face the fact that they may never have the chance to speak to each other again if they failed their task.

The betrayal of her own twin brother not caring about her at all felt worse than any pain Cassiopeia had experienced. Like a part of her heart was forcibly cut out. The once thick-as-thieves siblings were now as close to each other as two strangers were.

Unlike her brother, however, it seemed Snape was most eager to speak with Cassiopeia. Ever since the school year had started, she had received letters from Snape telling her to meet him at his office. Cassie had ignored every request, of course. She knew he was a death eater, most likely summoning her in order to assist in the twins' task, but she also knew he was absolved of his crimes because of his 'loyalty' to Dumbledore. No matter who he was truly loyal to, Cassiopeia did not trust him.
