The first time she met Bakugou Katsuki before he became a constant in her life, Y/N had unceremoniously been knocked over onto her ass by said boy during her first year at UA. Though, it was a complete accident (and also technically her fault as she had failed to be cautious coming out of the office's doorway with a high stack of folders and books obscuring her vision), she couldn't help but think that the least the loud-mouthed blond could have done was help her to her feet- you know, like a hero would have done.
But, unfortunately for you, Class 1-A's explosive student was not known for his saintly acts of kindness. And unfortunately for Bakugou, the general studies girl wasn't someone who backed down from a challenge.
So, after your backside collided with the hard floor and all you could do was gasp in both pain and surprise as the books and folders scattered around you, you were about to tell them off a bit for not minding open doorways.
But you couldn't help but tense up in shock as you found yourself under the angry glare of red eyes belonging to none other than the infamous winner of this year's sports festival.
"Bakugou Katsuki," you said before your brain could catch up with your mouth to save you from sounding like an idiot.
There weren't many things that scared you, but facing off against the arguably loudest guy in school who clearly needed a good dose of anger management therapy was something you'd rather not do today.
The blond raised an eyebrow at you, no doubt weirded out that a random person knew his name - not that he cared to know whose name matched with what face - but he was sure as hell this girl wasn't in his Hero class.
Either way, he decided to stay put because he'd rather not have Mr. Aizawa berate him if he got word from the witnesses inside the office that one of his top students left a some helpless person on the floor of their doorway...and he couldn't just ignore the fact that he just got rammed into by a goddamn extra with a shitload of hard books.
"Watch where you're going', fuckin idiot," he roared, narrowing his eyes and waving his hands angrily.
"Hmm? Who are you talking to like that?" you responded right back, your measures of not engaging with the rude blond long gone.
"YOU, SHITHEAD!" Bakugou retorted, "How do you know my name...and get the fuck up already!" he raised his voice.
"Why you..." you couldn't stand the way he was speaking to you, but shook off the growing nerves in an attempt to keep your composure like the respectful human being you were. You were not going to stoop down to his level.
You sighed in frustration, "I'm sorry," and quickly went to work gathering the books you had dropped into your arms while answering his one question.
"You got first place in the sports festival last month," you said pointedly and willed yourself to look up at him as you addressed him. You knew from watching the festival that he was in his own league of power-induced hunger laced with anger, but to have that tone personally directed to you was a whole entire experience.
Bakugou scowled at the mention of the Sports Festival, and you widened your eyes as you suddenly remembered the ending ceremony, turning your head down rather quickly to avoid his gaze, hoping that the subject wasn't something he was sensitive about. But if it were you who had been muzzled and restrained like a wild animal for all the public to see...well, you knew no one, not even the Bakugou Katsuki, would take something like that and not be troubled.
In silence, you finished gathering the remaining books into a neat stack beside you, your eyes darting to the other first year's shoes that hadn't moved away.
