Shitty Feelings

You had been about to call it quits and just shrivel yourself up and die. There had been no other means of getting out of this humiliating issue.

You really were a clueless fuck.

After an entire day of running up and down during the Sports Festival, you cuddled up in bed after a nice hot shower and slept till midday, too busy and tired to check on the silent notifications that had come in from the Bakusquad groupchat.

So when you woke up and opened your phone, you didn't even take in what you were reading through for a whole ten seconds until you sat up in shock, thumbs scrambling to answer their burning questions.

First of all, you did NOT go on a date or were you entertaining anyone that way. How were you supposed to know that's what it had been? That basketball player said he wanted to show some moves, and you shrugged thinking he just needed someone there for validation. And that guy from 3-D never used the word date to describe your tutoring session, so why was he going around telling everybody it was a study date?

Groundless. Groundless. Groundless. Could you give him detention for that?

Second of all, that private lunchtime conversation was meant to be that - private.

You should've known something like this would happen when you had seen the next table over adjusting themselves in their seats after your friend's excited, loud, babbles of how the Student Council President wanted a boyfriend.

But a whole essay in a message bubble wasn't enough to stop the embarrassment at the situation - and you knew Bakugou wouldn't read the groupchat anyway - so you were immensely relieved when you were able to go over to their dorm on Monday evening and set the record straight, easing yourself laughing with them about how silly it had been.

You had no council duties after school, so you had gone and changed into a t-shirt and leggings to be comfortable hanging out with your friends who had done the same in the comfort of their own dorm.

Bakugou had stared at you with an unreadable expression the whole time of your angry and embarrassed explanation, sitting across from you on the floor of Kaminari's room and giving his own judgement once your story was over.

"The library isn't the time or place for that. And 'show my moves'? What fucking moves?! It's a hoop and a goddamn ball," he threw his head back and glared at the ceiling, "D'ya want me to kill 'em?"

"Don't worry," you nodded, reassuring everyone it was okay, "I'm planning on teaching them a lesson."

"Woah, Y/N," Kaminari's eyes widened, remembering Mineta's face, "What're you gonna do to them?!"

You furrowed your brows at him, confused about his distraught tone, "Do? I'm just going to tell them they shouldn't be asking girls out like that. I feel kind of sorry for them, they were so vague."

"Guys are so stupid," Mina snickered.

After a more light-hearted conversation and jokes thrown around - sometimes at the expense of the leader they all liked to tease - Mina pulled up her phone with an event she had been looking at the other day.

"- they're one of my favorite dance groups and they're performing at a theme park for a special festival, we should all go!"

"I'm down," Kaminari quickly gave in to fun, followed by yours and Sero's agreement to join the excited Mina on her excursion.

"How about it?" Kirishima turned to his best friend, knowing the grumpy blond always ended up getting strung along with them anyways, "It's on our break day."

"Do whatever you idiots want," Bakugou said, sitting back on his arms.

The group made plans to go off campus, and your eyes shined with excitement when Mina mentioned there would be a fireworks show at the end of the night, something Bakugou's sharp eyes caught and unknowingly saved in the backspace of his mind.
