The final day of the school year had come at last, bringing with it the inhumane tortures of final exams and projects.
As Hero students, 2-A and 2-B had to face an additional agony in the form of a physical evaluation to observe their year of growth as future heroes.
And with it out of the way, Cementoss exerted a final push of his Quirk to level out the gym's floor, wiping away the intricate city that had been used for the Hero students' final exam as second years.
Standing around in their Hero costumes, a great umbrella of celebration overpowered their exam fatigue, happy they were done with the school year; But when their teachers and Principal Nezu announced that they were going to walk over to the Sports Festival Stadium, some couldn't help their academic paranoia that an additional exam was awaiting.
"What if it's a tournament and the winner gets an automatic A?" Tetsutetsu tried to talk animatedly with Kirishima, who both couldn't hide their eagerness to show off their strength.
Jirou groaned her frustrations out into the air, "Can't we be done already?"
Uraraka asked, worried about the test she hadn't prepared for, "Iida-kun, have you heard anything about this?"
"Everyone, let's keep doing our best until the end of the testing period," Iida tried to encourage the class who felt like they were walking the plank.
Although Bakugou wasn't plagued with the same concerns as his classmates and was hoping it'd be another match to win, he was feeling every bit annoyed about not being told their test would run later.
It was only until the group came upon the sight of the stadium, that they noticed new ornamental additions to the grand exterior of the coliseum - large rectangular flag banners that were lined up equally and curved around the oval building.
When Present Mic broadcasted the incoming scene as the unveiling of the new ultra banners for next year's sports festivals, everyone finally made out the images that were imprinted on the dozens of flags.
"Oh my god, it's the portraits we took last month!" Mina's jaw dropped when she located her snazzy pink banner ten placements to the right from the entrance to the stadium.
"Even though I still say you don't deserve this much," Aizawa started before they could lose their minds at seeing themselves on the stadium walls, "The school thought it'd be a good investment to show the future UA has to offer. Please behave yourselves while you look for your - "
All he could see in front of him were the dust silhouettes of his students after they all bolted to see their banners up close and personal.
"It looks like a real sports arena!" Kirishima smiled, reflecting the same radiant smile shown on his manly Red Riot banner next to Tokoyami's darker flag. "We look like we're in a championship game or something!"
Bakugou held an intense stare-off with his own banner, placed in between Todoroki and Midoriya at the entrance to the stadium, judging it with a hard scowl and crossed arms until an arrogant smirk overtook his features and he gloated, "Mine's making Deku's and Half and Half's look like second rate amateurs! How does it feel to be upstaged again, hah?...Oi, fucking Deku, I'm talkin' to you!"
Izuku was staring up at his banner with wide eyes and an open mouth, paying no mind to the loud mouthed blond barking at him.
If he'd known the photographs they had taken last month in their hero costumes were to be hung up for everyone to see, he might've gone with a different pose than an attempt at All Might's signature stance, but he was still amazed at how much of a real hero the professional piece made him appear like.
