There was definitely something wrong with you.

Was it what Mina had said? Dating Bakugou...She had unknowingly planted another thought into your head - this one not unpleasant, and embarrassingly, enjoyable to think about. Damn Mina!

When did this little crush turn into something more?

Why does he have to be so endearing without even trying? Like how he yells at you, but the underlying message of worry laces his words, and how he stays quiet whenever you rant about your day, but you know he's listening when he gives his own brutally honest advice, and how he sarcastically claims he can't wait to see you get your ass kicked one day, but doesn't let you go off alone when you have to handle those idiots.

Not to mention how happy you are to even see him, how fun it is to talk to him, how hilarious he is when he gets all riled up, and how - you'd rather take this one to the grave - his never ending goal to upstage you flusters you because there's the tiniest, twisted part in you that likes it.

And now he's confirmed you like that cute little nickname...but at least he took it to mean you had some stuck up agenda to be treated like royalty. That was a close one.

He's such a piece of work, and yet you still want to be around him.

Yeah, there was definitely something wrong with you.

Because why, on this cloudy night, were you sitting on your bed with your phone in hand, suddenly having the uncontrollable desire to talk to him?

That's right, because you hadn't seen him this whole week on account of his work study at Endeavors, and that jerk doesn't know a thing about keeping up with friends. You were such a good person you even had a surprise for him - a new, commissioned prototype merchandise since you felt horrible he hadn't kept his.

The "read" receipt under the message you had sent two minutes ago haunted you.

I'll meet you outside your dorm tomorrow morning before you leave

He was a busy hero in training and also the person who kept the most deranged schedule - another thing that made you deeply admire him - and here you were with your eye twitching because you couldn't grab hold of your feelings and had fallen for the most unavailable person imaginable.

You didn't want to stand in his way, and he'd probably get annoyed, but you let yourself have some youthful indulgence and act on this fuzzy feeling just this once.

You smiled and typed out a second message.

I'm serious. I have something just for you

You did that with the only flirtatious tone you could muster. That was a good text, right? Oh well.

You weren't really satisfied with that small outlet of your feelings, but it was all you could do when talking to a wall. You were laughing at that thought when your phone dinged, making you freeze.

You better. You still owe me.

What the hell? He replied to that? What an idiot, of course he'd still be up to his games. He seemed to have a thing for getting rewards. You smiled fondly, finding it was another one of his qualities that made him quite endearing.

You then frowned at your phone, gripping it tightly between two hands. Should you keep trying to have a release for your pent up feelings?

Whatever. It's not like he was here in person to make fun of how you were rubbing your heated face onto your pillow. You'd kill anyone who'd see you like this.
