Staring up at the lightless gray sky from the safety of the school buildings' awning at the main doors, you waited and waited but the clouds never seemed to let up their barrels of rainwater that came rapping heavily on the ground.

It'd been raining hard like this since fifth period, and you were the last person out the council room door after a meeting - the last person who caught a forgetful trio of friends passing the time at the lockers; Forgetful because they didn't bring their umbrellas, as their sheepish smiles explained to the hand on your hip.

You hadn't bothered to put on a raincoat, thinking your umbrella would be enough when you checked the weather forecast this morning; but now, you were hoodless and umbrella-less, the black cardigan you'd chosen to come with for the mildly cool temperature laughing at you.

The trio had offered to have one of them come back for you, but your bright smile insisted they get inside and warmed up as soon as possible - an order from the president that they all shared guilty looks about while their three bodies huddled close together.

You sighed, checking your weather app again as if that would make this summer rain storm stop.

"Oi, the fuck you still doin' here?"

"Hello L/N."

Turning around to see Todoroki, Midoriya, and Bakugou - who looked extra good in a dark green bomber jacket over his uniform - you blinked at the nice surprise, not expecting to see him today.

It had been over a month since you became an official couple, and it had been...sweet, as sweet as bubbling hot caramel could be, surpassing all of your expectations.

Like when you'd catch him staring at you, or when you'd kiss in your rooms, wanting to melt into a puddle when his body relaxes under your fingers and deepens it.

He doesn't kiss you goodbye, but he softly tips your head and says "later" like it was a promise he'd come back and do it again.

And - surprising him as well as you - one day, you had sent a goodnight text as a half-joke before his allotted time to go to bed expecting he'd leave you on read like other times, but you sat up in your own bed with a completely shocked face when he replied a short "night" back. Since that time, you sent a goodnight message every now and then after not seeing each other much, receiving a reply back that you knew he never gave anyone else.

How could you not scream into your pillow when that happened the first time?

On another occasion, you'd decided to return the hoodie he'd lent you when you'd worn it countless time in your own room until it'd lost his nice smell.

You didn't tell him that, of course, but then he came back and threw a sweater over your face - this one really thick with musk and a lot more loved than the first one that had almost seemed brand new, rolling your eyes at how predictable he was when he told you to wear it the next time you go out.

And when he'd take care of you in his otherworldly alien way of living - crass sentences and rough looking actions being translated into the things he'd never explicitly say - you thought it was really sweet.

It really felt like only you got to see Bakugou Katsuki in this neon light of a sensual red, glowing like a little fire fairy. Like he was yours.

"What're you guys doing here?"

"I just asked you that," he tapped his shut red umbrella against his arm, "Where's yours? Don't tell me you didn't think to bring one."

You smiled sheepishly, "I gave it to a group who didn't have one. It's okay though, the rain is almost over."
