"I can't believe what a slut you are." Taylor was laughing when I sat myself down by his side in the ravine, shoving him over.
It was Monday afternoon and I had one more class left before the end of the day, depressing me slightly.
"Shut up." I sighed, pulling my English folder out of my bag. "It's seriously not funny okay? I've had thirteen year old girls waiting outside my house for like two days now."
That of course, made Taylor laugh even louder, flicking his brown straightened hair out of his eyes. It really wasn't funny actually; they had been asking my grandad questions about me this morning as he was leaving for the Greenhouse, before bombarding me with accusations as I left for school.
In the end I had to tell them to leave or I would call the police, making me sound like a total idiot.
"Shut up Taylor!" I reinforced, hitting him with my pencil case. "Anyway, Niall's not even worth it. He's not worth any of this shit I have to deal with now."
Next to Taylor, his boyfriend Tony raised his eyebrows.
"You sure about that girl? I mean have you seen him?" He laughed, a cigarette delicately hanging out of his mouth, his purple hair swaying with the slight breeze.
"Um hey, jealous boyfriend here!" Taylor quickly took the cigarette away and gave him a light kiss on the lips, before turning back to me.
"What makes you say he isn't worth it Elli?" He asked, putting a comforting arm around my shoulder. I shrugged.
"I just don't think he is." I put simply, but luckily Taylor didn't push the subject. He nodded sympathetically and sighed.
"Boys suck." He exclaimed, with Tony nodding his head.
"It's true, they do. Well this one does anyway." He winked and nudged Taylor who giggled loudly.
"Urgh, so not in the mood for your dirty thoughts." I laughed, immersing myself in my English homework. I really hadn't gotten much done after Harry called me yesterday.
To be honest I was too busy worrying about everything.
The bell went not long after, leaving me with one English class before the end of the day.
I thought I might actually make it through without breaking down, but then I remembered Shelly was the only person I knew in my English class, who would undoubtedly be filled with conversation about her party.
Sure enough, I was right.
"Where the hell did you disappear to the other night?" She had pulled my wrist and sat me down in the seat next to her, her eyes narrowed.
"I needed to go home early." I shrugged, taking out my books. She pressed on.
"Why would you do that to me? I told you I liked Niall, and then you go and kiss him yourself!" She exclaimed, making sure we had an audience now. In fact, the whole class was listening in.
"It wasn't anything okay, we're just friends." I answered, trying not to take notice of the rest of the class, who were staring at the two of us, whispering. Shelly still didn't look pleased.
"Oh sure, just friends. That's why he followed you upstairs at my house, after I fucking offered to hook up with him. Thanks for making me look like an idiot at my own party!" She exclaimed, the rest of the room now completely silent.
I sighed loudly.
"You don't need my help to look like an idiot. And believe it or not, it is possible to be friends with a guy, so shut up and get over it."
