Not me projecting onto grian because I can-

(Btw didn't really have time to re-read so might just be weird idk)
————————————————————————

The server was going to switch seasons soon, which meant that instead of season 6, they would be going to season seven.

Grian really thought he was ready, but he was finding it harder and harder to let go as he thought more about it.

He didn't want to leave all his beautiful builds behind. Sahara, his blender or flowerpot, heck- even his bottle from the first week! He hated the thought of having to leave everything familiar behind for an unknown world.

He also hated the fact that multiple people were going to leave Hermitcraft. Even if he was going to have many of his other friends with him, he was going to miss the people that were leaving.

And then there was the possibility of new hermits joining, which he was also against. He knew it wasn't nice, and that he was being irrational, but he just didn't want new people to join. They wouldn't know what he liked, or know that he hated eye contact. They would think he was weird  and rude when he ranted about his interests or stopped responding when he had nothing to say.
And what would happen when one of the new hermits wanted to hangout at lunchtime or some other important time? He would be busy! And they wouldn't understand why he had a routine that he followed so specifically.

He didn't know what he was going to do.

Everything was going to change and he couldn't control it. He hated it. He just wanted everything to stay the same forever.

But he didn't tell anyone the way he felt. Because that was just weird. He was weird. That's probably what most of the hermits thought, but he didn't know cause they never said it. He wasn't a mind reader.

He kept his worry to himself, up until the day before the move.
Xisuma had called a meeting so they could go over the details of the move and Grian was getting overwhelmed by everything.

Everything was chaos. His ears hurt as all the hermits started arguing about various things. His eyes hurt as Jevin turned on all the lights. His nose felt weird as he smelled the perfume the girls tried to spray on others. And people kept brushing up against him, making his wings retract to his back. His brain hurt as it tried to comprehend everything around him.

He tried to drown it all out, pressing his hands to his ears, trying to be discreet, and making himself as small as possible. In the end he sort of succeeded, and focused on his thoughts.

He didn't notice when people tried to speak with him. He was in his own little world, trying to get away from all the chaos.

He didn't notice either when he started crying. His own little world wasn't beter as now he was as good as alone with his thoughts. He didn't know what to expect, and it was infuriating.

Who would he tease Xisuma with?

What would the new hermits be like?

What would the world look like?

How different would it be from this one?

Would the transition go well when they jumped?

Would his friends still live close to him?

Would they even still be his frien-

A hand gently fell on his should and he flinched. Who was that?
