There were moments or story lines I desperately wished for, and moments that at times seemed small but were so important to discover and delve into. This is a book of these moments that I wanted to ex...

Sanem stirred awake but didn't dare to open her eyes. Usually in a different bed she would wake up startled, trying to piece together where she was and how she got there. The only bed to ever give her comfort and ease was her twin bed that she had slept on for her entire life. But things were different now, that bed was not the only place she could wake up feeling safe. Sanem's eyes were still closed but she knew who's arms were holding her. She knew the sound of Can's light breathing, and the feel of his heart's rhythm in her hands. She could smell his natural scent mixed with a cologne that made her dizzy. All her senses were amplified as she absorbed the world around her in the darkness. Finally Sanem's eyes opened, no longer able to stand the injustice of not seeing him. Sanem watched as Can blissfully slept wrapped around her. She always a sense of pride knowing he would only sleep this deeply near her. It was like Can's body sensed the peace in the space they created. After years of tossing and turning, Can was able to let go fully and give into a deep slumber. Sanem carefully freed her hand from Can's embrace and started to stroke his hair delicately trying not to wake him. She adored his hair, and loved how soft it felt.
Suddenly Can opened his eyes seeing Sanem staring lovingly back at him. With a sleepy grin he said, "Good morning."
Sanem with a twinkle in her eye replied, "Good morning." She continued to stroke Can's hair as he stared back at her feeling so lucky to be close to her once again.
Can postitioned himseld looking over at Sanem and reached down to outline Sanem's face. Sanem blushed and leaned further into his touch. As Can started to trace her lips, Sanem kissed his fingers. Can reflexively held his breath at her lips touching his skin. He always felt overwhelmed when Sanem would initiate the intimacy. He was so used to having to be the one to make the first move, so when Sanem would kiss him or reach out and touch him? Can would lose the ability to breathe.
The moment was broken by the sound of an obnoxious alarm. Can buried his head in Sanem's chest grumbling, "Nooo."
Sanem held him closer muffling his grumble, "I know Canim, I don't want it to be morning yet either... can we snooze the alarm for 5 more minutes?"
Can looked up at Sanem smiling remembering all the "5 more minutes" they have shared together. How he wished they could take "5 more minutes" for the rest of their lives and just stay there for eternity. But that would be selfish, and he didn't want to be that way with Sanem anymore.
Can now hovering over Sanem reached down and gave her a heady kiss. Sanem ran her fingers over his shoulder blades, and put pressure on his lower back to feel his muscles as they were tense trying to keep Can from crushing her. As the kiss went on, Sanem traced her way up and down Can's back, finally resting in between his shoulder blades urging him down closer to her, deepening the kiss.
Can realized that staying any longer in that kiss would lead down a path that Sanem had yet to say she was ready for. So against his urges he was the first to pull away from the kiss.
"As much as I really REALLY want to finish this," Can said out of breath, "We have to go."
Sanem looked at Can and teased, "Baya, Baya you want to finish this huh?" Repeating his catchphrase while she felt his skin on fire under his shirt.
Can playfully squeezed her adorable yet seductive face and repeated for emphasis, "Baya baya BAYA."
"Oh three bayas," Sanem mused, "You mean business then if you want to leave."
Can pulled himself up bringing Sanem down on top of him, "You have no idea," Can said with his eyes smoldering.
The look he gave her made Sanem feel flushed with excitement while also a nervousness for the unknown. She gave him one more kiss on the lips then stood up and turned off the alarm.
"I guess back to reality huh?" Sanem said frowning at her suitcase ready by the door and her clothing for the day laid out on a chair.
Can sat up determined to be hopeful about their return to society. He believed in them and how they would make this work even when they leave their "Can and Sanem Bubble."
"We make our own reality, Sevgilim."
"I know, " Sanem shrugged, " but I just loved our bubble."
"Me too," Can walked over and gave Sanem a tender hug, "but we don't have to lose that feeling."
Sanem holding Can tighter, "There are so many people, so many factors that always get in the way."
"I know but this time we will be honest with each other, and tell each other when something is wrong or when we are hurt."
Sanem put on her Jacket and looked around their cottage one last time. Can was patiently waiting for Sanem in his truck, ready to take her to work. Even though Can assured Sanem nothing would change, she knew everything would be different. It wasn't going to change for the worse, it just was going to be different. She accepted it but in these last moments in their cottage all tidied and dark, Sanem felt this nostalgic loss. Sanem looked one more time at their little cocoon of bliss before she closed the door and locked it.
She took a deep breath and walked down the path to go with the man she loved to a world unknown.
