Can leaned on the hood of his truck in the driveway of the Divit house. He kept looking at that front door expecting something emotional to happen just like it did for Sanem.

Emre pulled up in his red sports car. He yelled out to Can from the window but Can didn't hear him. Emre approached Can and waved in front of his face.

"Superman, are you hearing someone in need?"

Can broke from his trance confused, "What?"

"You were just standing there frozen... so I wondered if your superman hearing was kicking in and you were about to go run to save someone."

Emre made a mocking Superman stance of one hand on his hip with the other in the air ready for take off. He was  trying to lighten the mood.

"ha. ha," Can said drily.

Emre realized his attempt to be funny failed so he went with a straight forward question, " So what are you doing out here?"

Can stared intensely at the Divit home's front door. "I just dropped off Sanem at her home."

"Ok?" Emre said not following.

"And she just was so emotional about her front door and all the memories she had there, and I just... I don't know. I wanted to see what our door would feel like."

Emre was curious and amused by this lofty and romantic idea. He never put much thought into the meaning of this home, he just lived in it. Emre stood next to him, wondering if Can felt anything or if any memory stood out.

"And?" Emre asked hoping for some insight.

Can looked down not wanting to stay in the memories that flooded his mind. He tried to look away, hoping the feelings of a lost and lonely kid would dissipate from his chest.

"Nothing," Can said brushing off the memories, "When I see that door, I feel nothing."

It surprised Emre to hear that. After all, Can was the one who was raised in this home after he an his mother left- Not Emre. Emre rubbed the back of his neck looking at the door once more.

"Ya I only was in this house as an adult," Emre said struggling to see past the finished wood, " I don't have any good childhood memories."

Can laughed riley, " I have memories- just - not always good."

"Abi I...."

Can waved him off, "Forget it."

He turned to Emre and put his arm around his shoulders, "Let's go inside and we'll talk some more about what I missed these past few days."

Emre smiled as they walked inside he added, " And you can tell me all about the days you were away. Leyla told me how her parents flipped."

Can had an awkward grin, "Ya, let's get a drink first and you can tell me what you heard."
