The story was special. The legend was powerful.
There were moments or story lines I desperately wished for, and moments that at times seemed small but were so important to discover and delve into. This is a book of these moments that I wanted to ex...

Sanem was typing furiously at her desk. Her meeting with Yigit went about as well as expected. He was upset she left right before their business trip. After she apologized profusely for her actions, Sanem promised to never do something like that again. She was dedicated to her craft and now she had to prove it to him. Sanem made it clear to Yigit that this job was more than a job to her. Sanem was determined to work on her writing and help other authors achieve their dreams as well. So instead of feeling guilty and obsessing over her mistakes, she decided to get to work.
Sanem finished her work for the day as the editor of this publishing house, so she went back into her own writing. As she continued to write her love story she couldn't help think something was missing. Sanem's story was the one she had from the beginning the one Can caught a glimpse of in her room: a girl lost in a world she didn't know how to maneuver until she met her soulmate. But this story kept gnawing at her, the girl maybe was too young or the story too trite? She couldn't pin down why the characters seemed so far from away from her. She couldn't hold on to them or their life.
Sanem kept rewriting: questioning every line, every word. She felt like a fraud. How could she be a writer if she couldn't get down one sentence that was well done?
Frustrated with her work, Sanem looked up and saw everyone was getting ready to leave for the day. Although Sanem was exhausted, she wanted to push herself to stay an hour longer.
Sanem texted Can about her change of plans, as they were supposed to go home together.
Sanem: How is today going?
Can: Typical day. Ceycey found out that we are back together... so now everyone knows. I have been getting standing ovations whenever I leave my office.
Sanem laughed as she pictured the scene of Can slowly losing his patience the more he needed to leave his desk.
Sanem: So are you hiding in your office now? Not moving until everyone leaves?
Can: you know me too well
Can: How was your day? was Yi- IG-GIT reasonable?
Sanem: Even in texting you can't say his name normally... It went how I expected it to. I have to prove myself now
Can: It's my accent - I have trouble with names of people I dislike I guess
Can: You'll do great, just remind yourself- YOU ARE A WRITER. You have been writing for years and now it's time to share it. Be brave with it
Sanem read his words over and over. She was touched, not only with Can's faith in her, but that he knew her well enough to know those were the exact words she needed to hear.
Sanem: I love you
Can: I love you too Birtanem, I miss you and it's only been 8 hours.
Sanem: me too, I just wanted to work a little longer on my novel before leaving.
