...NIGHT...
FOURTH
I had been waiting for my group for over an hour, and there was still no sign of them. I tried calling Dunk and Satang multiple times, but neither of them answered. Frustrated, I stepped out onto the balcony, and just as I did, I noticed a car pulling up in front of my house. I saw Dunk getting out of the car, and without wasting a moment, I quickly headed downstairs.
"Mom, I have to go! They're finally here!" I called out, grabbing my bag from the dining table where I'd left it earlier.
"Alright, honey! Call me when you get there, and take care!" my mum shouted from her room.
I hurried out the door, and as I approached the car, I saw Dunk coming towards me. "Guys, I called you so many times! Why didn't you pick up?" I asked, tossing my bag onto the back seat of the car.
"We had already arrived, so we figured there was no need to answer," Joong replied nonchalantly, his eyes closed as he rested his head on the back of the seat.
"Is he dead or something?" I chuckled, joking about how Joong looked like he was completely out of it.
"Okay, okay, Uncle," I said to the driver, giving him directions. "Go straight, then take the next left."
A few minutes later, I said, "Here we are."
"Wow, so close to your place!" Winny remarked as we all climbed out of the car.
I knocked on his door, calling out, "Gemini?" Just as I was about to knock again, a woman opened the door. "Sawadee khrub," we greeted her in unison. She seemed taken aback by our presence, her eyes widening in surprise.
"Gemini's friends?" she asked, her voice tinged with confusion.
"Yes, aunty," we responded, nodding in confirmation. She let out an exasperated sigh, rolling her eyes before stepping aside to allow us in. We entered the house, settling on the sofa, and I placed my bag beside me.
"Gemini will be down in a minute. I'll be in the kitchen," she said, disappearing down the hallway, leaving behind a thick air of awkwardness.
"I'll go check on him,"" I said, rising from the sofa. "Do you even know where his room is?" Satang asked, gripping my wrist to stop me.
"Uh... the stairs, I think..." I mumbled, not entirely sure myself. But curiosity pushed me forward, and I made my way up the stairs. As I ascended, I glanced back at them before continuing up.
At the top, I noticed a room with its door slightly ajar. Peeking inside, I saw Gemini's bag on the couch. I quietly slipped into the room, gently closing the door behind me. The room was calm, a tranquil space adorned with those glow-in-the-dark stars on the ceiling. They cast a soft, ethereal light, creating a peaceful ambiance.
I was lost in thought, admiring the stars when suddenly, a figure emerged from the bathroom. Startled, I turned to see a tall, half-naked guy, white skin glistening with water droplets, a towel wrapped around his waist. His wet hair clung to his forehead, and his lips, pink and rosy, were slightly parted.
"Ge..m," I stammered, his name escaping my lips almost involuntarily. The sight of him left me breathless, my heart pounding in my chest as I struggled to find words.
"FOURTH!" He nearly shouted my name, snapping me back to reality. I was about to scream, "Ai shi-" when he lunged towards me, covering my mouth with one hand. My scream was a fraction too late; I should have yelled the moment I saw him in this state.
His hand remained firmly over my mouth, while the other wrapped around my waist, pulling me closer. "Shut up bitch" he whispered urgently, his voice barely above a breath. Water droplets fell from his hair, still damp from his shower, landing on my shoulder and trickling down my body.
His face was so close to mine that I could feel his breath against my skin. His eyes, still half-lidded with sleep, locked onto mine, their intense gaze captivating me.
"Why did you... anyway are they already here?" he asked, his voice low and controlled, as if trying to keep something in check.
I nodded slightly, my movements restricted by his hand still covering my mouth. His eyes never left mine, and I could feel the heat of his body against me.
"Do not fucking scream I'm coming Go and tell them you didn't see me," he instructed, his tone commanding. "Tell them you guessed I was in the bathroom. Go."
He finally removed his hand, turning me around to face the door. "Go! I'm going to change right now," he said, his voice more urgent now
He finally removed his hand, turning me around to face the door. "Go" he said, his voice more urgent now.
I stood frozen for a moment, too stunned to move, before slowly turning my head to glance back at him. He caught my gaze and his eyes narrowed slightly.
"Are you planning to watch me change?" he half-yelled, his voice tinged with a mix of frustration and something else that made my heart race.
Without another word, I yanked the door open and bolted downstairs, my heart pounding in my chest.
I came downstairs and found them sitting and chatting. "Guys, he's in the bathroom," I informed them before sitting down on the sofa. They sighed, just as I was about to call Mom. Gemini's Mon suddenly approached us with an annoyed expression on her face.
"Ei! Are you all planning to stay here?" she asked, clearly irritated. We all glanced at her nervously, I replied, "It's okay, if it's a problem for you, we'll just study and head back to our house."
She looked at me for a moment, then rolled her eyes and said, "Fine, stay" before walking away.
Just then, Gemini came down the stairs. "Oh, you guys are already here. Come on," he said, half-stepping onto the staircase. The moment they saw him and heard his invitation, they quickly made their way to his room.
I grabbed my bag in one hand and followed them up. "Ah, peace!" Winny exclaimed as he threw himself onto the bed. "HEY SHUT THE FUCK UP! Get off my bed!" Gemini shouted, grabbing Winny's wrist and pulling him up.
"Come on, man!" Winny groaned as he begrudgingly sat on the couch instead.
