I stepped closer to the ledge, the wind tearing through my hair, carrying with it the hollow ache in my chest. One more step and it would all be over.

Suddenly, the rooftop door burst open.

The metallic click of the lock echoed in the tense air, and I turned my head.
Father Lee stood there, breathing... his chest rising and falling like he’d sprinted through the entire building.

“Fourth—don’t do this,” he said, his voice cracking. His hands came together, not in prayer, but in a desperate plea.

I stared back at him, my face numb, empty.

“I’ll tell you about Gemini,” he said quickly, almost tripping over his words. “Please… come back, Fourth!”

Behind him, I could see Satang and Dunk, their faces pale, eyes wide with fear. The air whipped past me again, cold against my skin, pulling me toward the edge.

“I wanted you to stay away from him,” Father Lee continued, his voice trembling. “Because I knew… I knew you would sacrifice your life for him. I saw you growing up, Fourth. I was there. I also nurtured you, protected you. I can’t watch you throw yourself away.” His eyes glistened, a single tear sliding down his cheek.

Then he said it.
“He’s in Phuket right now.”

My feet left the edge—not in a fall, but in a step backward. I turned and dropped down from the ledge to the safety of the rooftop floor, though my knees still trembled.

Father Lee extended his hands toward me. “Please,” he whispered. “Don’t make me beg you again.”

I stared at him for a moment before the weight in my chest finally broke. I ran into his arms, gripping him tightly, my body shaking as sobs ripped through me.

“I’m sorry, Fourth,” he murmured, his hand warm as it patted my head. “I’ll help you. Just… don’t do anything stupid.”

He gently wiped the tears from my face. “Let’s go to Phuket.”

The atmosphere was tense, heavy with an unspoken dread. The six of us began to move forward, our footsteps echoing softly in the stillness.

Through the misty distance, a house slowly came into view. We exchanged uneasy glances — it wasn’t just any house. It was large, almost mansion-like, its dark silhouette looming against the fading light.

The moment we stepped inside, a chilling realization struck us — this was Gemini’s ancestral home, the very place where his forefathers once gathered to worship the devil. Now, the mansion stood abandoned, swallowed by shadows and silence.
