CHAPTER 1: First day

All the birds were singing their songs as autumn leaves slowly fell from the maple trees, creating a peaceful atmosphere.

Despite the alarm ringing, Fourth was still sleeping. After a few minutes, he groggily reached for the alarm clock with his eyes still closed, turned it off, and promptly fell back asleep.

"Fourth!? Wake up, darling! You'll be late! it's your first day of high school!" his mom yelled from downstairs.

"Mmhhm..." Fourth groaned, lazily getting up and sitting on the edge of his bed. He yawned and grabbed his phone, seeing that it was already 8:00 AM.

"Oihh shiaaa!" he screamed, jumping out of bed. He quickly grabbed his clothes and towel and rushed to the bathroom. His mom was downstairs preparing his breakfast.

After a few minutes, Fourth hurried down the stairs as if he were chasing a departing train. "What happened?" his mom asked, confused by his haste.

"Mae, I'm going to be late!" he exclaimed, hurriedly putting on his shoes.

"You won't even eat your breakfa-?" she started to ask, but before she could finish, Fourth grabbed a slice of jelly bread.

"I'll eat on the way, don't worry, Mom!" he said, running out the door. His mom stood there for a moment, shaking her head with a small smile.

Fourth happily walked to his high school, with maple leaves falling gently to the ground. As he approached the college gate, he paused and said to himself, "Finally, new one" However after finding his class he then nervously enter the classroom. He sat beside a girl who was on her phone.

When the teacher arrived, all the students stood up and greeted the teacher. Teacher began, "Class, we have two new transfer students today."

At this, Fourth stood up and greeted everyone with a polite, "Sawadee khab." The teacher then asked, "Where is the other new student? Where is Gemini?"

At the mention of his name, Gemini stood up slowly, his face looking pale and his eyes heavy with sleep. He greeted the class with a deep, cold voice, "Sawadee khab." The girls in the class immediately started whispering to each other about his intriguing voice.

The teacher continued, "Students, please take care of our new classmates and help them with any homework or schoolwork they might need assistance with." The class nodded in agreement.

Gemini was sitting next to the most notorious "pick me" girl in the class. She kept trying to flirt with him, but he didn't care. Gemini was silently listening to the teacher's words, seemingly absorbed in the lesson.

After a while, a cold voice broke the silence, "Can you please shut up?" It was loud enough to grab everyone's attention. All the students turned their heads and saw it was Gemini.

They immediately understood that June was disturbing him. June was known throughout the college as the most flirty girl, and her personality was no secret.

The teacher, looking confused, asked, "What happened? What's wrong?"

"Nothing, kha," June replied with a forced smile, trying to deflect the attention and change the topic.

The class continued, and after what felt like an eternity, the bell rang, signaling the tiffin break.

During the break, Fourth starting to make friends on his first day. A boy named Satang approached him and said, "Hey? Wanna be friends!"

"Sure!" Fourth agreed enthusiastically. Satang, along with another friend decided to approach Gemini as he is also new. "Hey!" they called out to him.

However, Gemini acted as if no one had approached him, completely ignoring their greeting.

"Okay, rude. Wanna be friends? You are new, by the way," Satang said, extending a hand for a handshake. However, Gemini, uninterested, took out his tiffin box, just like Satang, ignoring Dunk completely.

Dunk, trying to get Gemini's attention, said softly, "Hey?" and touched his shoulder.

"Can't you see I'm not talking with you? Doesn't that mean I'm not interested?" Gemini retorted, rolling his eyes and shoving Dunk's hand away. They were taken aback by the new student's rudeness.

Satang, Dunk, and Fourth then moved to sit together, trying to get to know each other better. "By the way, Fourth, would you like to join our group? I'll help you with the homework!" Satang asked enthusiastically, grabbing Fourth's hand.

"Yes, why not!" Fourth agreed, smiling. He felt welcomed and happy.

"Okay, there's a chemistry group project. I'll give you the details later," Dunk said, handing Fourth their LINE ID and Instagram ID

After the tiffin break, all the students returned to class, and their chemistry teacher, Mr. Chat, entered the room unexpectedly.

"Students, I know this is English period, but I came here because of Gemini and Fourth. They are new, so is there any group willing to include them?" Mr. Chat asked the class.

Several group leaders stood up, signaling their willingness to include the new students.

Fourth raised his hand, indicating he had something to say. "Yes, Fourth?" Mr. Chat acknowledged him.

"Sir, I already joined Group B," Fourth informed.

"Okay, then Gemini will also join Group B. This way, all groups will have seven members since we don't have many students in this section. Group B currently has five members, and with Gemini, they will have six," Mr. Chat explained before leaving the class.

Satang sighed in frustration. "Oh, that rude boy!" he muttered annoyingly.
