I ran to his house. My legs were starting to give out, and I had to stop for a moment, catching my breath. My chest burned. My fingers trembled as I checked my phone.

A group call popped up—Dunk was calling.

I picked up, still panting.
“Fourth!?” Dunk’s voice was panicked. “Did you hear? Gemini took his TC!”

I leaned down, resting my hands on my knees, trying to breathe. “Yeah... I’m going to his place now,” I managed to say before I started moving again.

“Where the hell could he be right now?” Satang’s voice joined in, worried.

One by one, everyone joined the call.
“What’s going on?” Winny asked, confused.

But I didn’t respond. My mind wasn’t with them—I had just reached his hostel. I rushed up the stairs, my phone still pressed to my ear.

“Dunk, his door’s locked,” I said breathlessly.

“He might still be in there!” Satang said quickly.

Just then, a woman appeared behind me.

“What are you looking for?” she asked kindly.

“A boy—Gemini—he lived here,” I said, turning to her.

“Oh, him? He left hours ago,” she said with a smile before walking away.

The entire group heard it.

I just stood there, stunned.

And then—

“Why are you guys stressing over that weird-ass guy? Are you this jobless?” Winny snapped coldly.

There was a pause. Then Dunk’s voice cut through the call, low and sharp.

“Shut the fuck up.”

My legs gave out beneath me, and I collapsed to the floor.

I couldn't control it anymore.

My phone slipped from my hand and landed beside me, screen still glowing.

“Fourth??” Satang’s voice came faintly from the speaker.

But my mind wasn’t there. It felt like everything around me was dissolving. I dragged a shaking palm across my face, wiping away the sweat—or were those tears?

“Where am I gonna find him...” I whispered to myself, the words trembling in my throat.

“Fourth?! Talk to me! Hello!? Are you there?!” Dunk shouted through the phone.

“Fourth, are you okay?” Satang asked, worried.

I ran my fingers through my hair, trying to breathe. My shirt sleeves were soaked from wiping my face. Nothing was helping.

“Fourth!! Hello!?” they kept calling.

But I couldn’t take it anymore.

I ended the group call.

My hands moved on their own as I dialed Gemini. I knew… I knew deep down those spirits inside him wouldn’t let the call go through.

Still… I tried.

No answer. Of course.

My screen lit up again. Dunk was calling.

I picked it up without saying anything. Just put the phone to my ear.

“Fourth?” His voice was softer this time, cautious.

I didn’t respond.

“I know you can hear me,” he said. “You can’t solve this alone. Just… just listen, okay? You don’t have to talk. Just hear me.”
