"You ready for spring break?" Michael asked me as we walked to our lockers.

"God yes," I groaned.

He laughed in response.

We put in our combinations and set our stuff in our lockers. We were finally walking to lunch. I was starving.

"Any plans?" he asked.

I shook my head. "I think some therapy and training, but probably rest for the most part. My mom and doctors are still emphasizing that."

He dropped an arm around my shoulders, pulling me to his side. "Well, you did have some things happen."

I laughed as I pushed him away. "Yeah, as if I could forget."

"I'm just saying. Maybe rest isn't the worst thing in the world," he defended himself.

I shook my head in amusement. If Michael could have his way, he would stay home all day to rest and play video games. Though, his version of rest involved plenty of video games and entertainment time.

"It gets boring after the first like two weeks," I explained as we got in line for our food.

I looked around for Annabeth and Jared but couldn't find either. I wondered if we had been early to leave for lunch. Thankfully, there weren't many people ahead of us today.

"Yeah, I could see how that would happen," Michael admitted, scratching his neck. "How are you holding up?"

I shrugged.

"That good, huh?" he asked.

I hadn't told him or Annabeth about the trouble sleeping or the anxiety.

"The headaches are exhausting," I said instead. It was the truth.

"Still? It's been like a month, no?"

"Apparently it's normal. They're monitoring me for any neurological changes, but so far so good apparently. I'm so over it by this point though."

"Maybe rest isn't so appealing," he admitted.

I laughed and agreed.

We walked to our usual table with our food. Before we sat, I realized I didn't have any water. I groaned.

"I'm gonna go grab some water. You want any?" I asked.

"Nah, I'm okay, but thanks," Michael responded.

"Be right back then," I told him.

I walked away to grab some water for myself. I poured myself a glass of water from the water coolers the school had during lunch. I turned to leave and crashed into a hard chest.

"This is a familiar scene," a familiar voice laughed.

I looked up to see Jared looking at me in amusement. I laughed and shook my head. Some things really didn't change.

"I'm sorry," I said through laughter. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, it's just water. We should probably clean it up though, so no one slips on it," Jared answered.

"Yeah, you're probably right."

I moved to set the cup down, but someone bumped into me and knocked it out of my hand, causing the water to spill on to the floor. I winced at the puddle on the floor. Now it really was a hazard.

"Stewart, how does this keep happening to you?" Jared laughed.

I grumbled some choice words as I set the cup down and looked around for some towels or napkins. I saw a custodian walking over, mop in hand. I winced, feeling bad.
