Merina had woken up and snuck outside as the sun was setting. It wasn't hard, Lori and Rick were in the room with Carl. Maggie, Hershel and Beth were in the kitchen so it was easy as pie to sneak to the front porch.

So there Mernie was, sitting on the rocking chair on the front porch as she sighed, the breeze helped. Her mind was racing with all the problems she and the group were facing. She would do anything to be with her brother at the moment.

“Penny for your thoughts?” She heard a southern voice from beside her, almost scaring her out of her skin.

Merina huffed before turning her head to see who scared the living daylights out of her, of course, it was Maggie. There Maggie was, leaning against the house with a smirk on her face.

“Why do you do that?” Mernie mumbled, letting out another huff as she felt her heart pounding inside her chest.

Maggie chuckled, “do what, exactly?” Maggie asked as she got up on the railing of the porch, bringing her knees up to her chest. Her eyes filled with amusement as she stared at Merina.

Merina hummed, rolling her eyes. “Sneak up on people.” Merine said, letting out a breathe before she looked away.

“because you're easy to sneak up on, Jumpy.” Maggie retorted as she moved to the empty seat next to Marnie who sent the girl a glare but quickly removed it once she felt heat on her cheeks.

The two sat in quiet for a moment, enjoying the night breeze though each of them was sending secret glances at the other. Soon, they heard a car drive up, followed by car doors closing.

It was silent before hearing a pair talk, Marnie tried to listen in. Once the person she's been wanting to see comes into view, she sprinted over. “Glenn!!” Mernie said happily, tears filling up her eyes.

“Merina! I was worried sick about you!” Glenn said, hugging her tightly. “Don't ever do anything like that again!”

“Yes mom.” Marina said a chuckle and a roll of her eyes, though the boy was smiling brightly back at her.

Maggie stood up and walked closer to them, her arms crossed over her chest. Merina pulled back at Glenn before turning towards Maggie who glaced at before looking at the two men who just came in. “Did you close the gate up the road when you drove in?” She asked.

“Uh, hi.” Glenn said nervously, sending a small awkward wave to Maggie. “Yes, we closed it. Did the latch and everything. Hello, nice to see you again, we met brightly before...”

Mernie elbowed Glenn in his side, causing him to stop and look at her before looking back at Maggie. “Look, we came to help. There anything we can do?” Glenn said nervously.

Maggie looked at Glenn up and down before her eyes flickered to Tdog, did the same but noticed the bandage on his arm. “It's not a bite, I cut myself pretty bad though.” Tdog said, quick jumping once he saw Maggie took notice of his arm.

Maggie nodded, “we'll have it looked at, I'll tell them you're here.” Maggie said, turning to the door but Glenn had spoke up again.

“Um,” Glenn said causing Maggie to turn back around, she watched as the boy scrambled to open his bag and pull out two bottles of pills. “We have some painkillers and Antibiotics. I already gave him some. If Carl needs any.”

Maggie took the pills, “come on inside, I'll make you something to eat.” Maggie said before her eyes flickered to Mernie for a second before opening the door. The group followed after her.

Mernie stayed outside the room door as her brother and Tdog stopped to see Rick, Lori, and Carl. She had a long talk with Rick earlier so she didn't feel the need to walk in and disturb the couples peace with their son.

Not only that, Mernie did stay close to herself but she overall couldn't see a kid like that, not with one still missing. Hence why she didn't come down and see him sooner.

Maggie came out first, stood next to the girl. “You okay?” Maggie asked the girl softly, Mernie only nodded and didn't bring her eyes up from the ground.

“Patricia will take care of Tdog, you'll come with me for your next dose of Medicine then it's to bed with you.” Maggie said, it didn't sound like a suggestion but a demand, as much as Mernie wanted to fight back, she didn't.

Maggie lead Mernie away to the kitchen, Maggie had her back turned against the Rhee sibling. Maggie was opening the cabinet and focused on trying to find the girls medicine.

Merina hummed, “Bossy.” Merina mumbled, keeping her eyes narrowed to the ground. Maggie turned back around with medicine in hand.

Maggie didn't bother to say anything back to the girl, only rolled her eyes at the other girl as she walked off to get a glass of water. Once she was back, she watched as Merina took the pill and a sip of water.

“To bed.” Maggie said sternly knowing the pill will kick and she'll be out like a light if she was laying down and not up moving around, otherwise she'll be loopy, could lead to hurt falling and reopening her stitches- again.

Merina rolled her eyes as she moved off the chair, sighing in defeat. “You sound like Glenn,” Merina said, earning a laugh from Maggie.

“She does not.” Glenn said as he walked into the kitchen, he leaned against the doorframe of the kitchen as his eyes found his sister.

“She does not.” Merina mocked him before sticking his tongue at him, which he did in return, Maggie laughed at the two before Merina went up the stairs and went into the room she's been since she woke up.

She swiftly slipped her shoes off before getting into bed, covering herself up with the blankets.

Things have to be better tomorrow, something good has to happen.
