“Come on, Jumpy. we should head back.” Maggie said with a chuckle, Merina hummed in response as she slide her bag onto her back before following the taller girl out of the pharmacy and over to the horses. “Not gonna fall again, are you?” Maggie teased with a snort.

Merina rolled her eyes, “No,” Merina retorted but in doubt which Maggie saw right through and laughed. Merina climbed onto the horse, succeeding the first time unlike the last time. “Ha! Screw you!” Merina said with a shit-eating grin that went ear to ear.

Maggie realized this is the first time she saw Merina smile and seemed a little carefree without Glenn around, it seemed like the girl can only be at peace with her brother around. It was refreshing to see the girl at ease.

The two began to walk back to the farm, passing other shops along the way as the two sat in comfortable silence.

“Why did you do it?” Maggie asked letting out a sigh, looking over at Merina who knitted her eyebrows at the girl in confusion. “Why did you let them lower you in the well? Risk your life?”

Merina shrugged, narrowing her eyes. “I don't know, I rather let it be me than Glenn I suppose.” Marina answered with a sigh.

Maggie fell quiet after that, taking the time to process the girl's words. They made it to the farm, Hershal walked over as the two unmounted the horses. “Everything goes okay?” Hershal asked.

“fine, nothing happened.” Maggie said to her father, Hershal eyes flickered to the pair before Merina sent a polite smile to the pair and walked into the small camp area to find Lori.

Lori stood up from the campfire once she saw the girl, she dusted her hands onto her jeans before walking over to the Merina, quickly glancing around to see if anyone was around. “Did you find it?” Lori asked quickly.

Merina sighed as she pulled the item from her bag that was in a little white bag, Lori took it and hid it behind her back. Lori nodded to the girl as a thanks before walking off, Merina sighed before she walked to Glenn's tent and went inside.

She laid down on the cot after taking off her flannel and slipping off her shoes as she covered her eyes with her arm, she felt tired maybe she overdid it today, laying in bed injured for almost three whole days then goes already had a near death experience and already did a run, oh and the worst part, she has to keep Lori's secret, which she doesn't know anything yet but it's still helping to hide, she has to talk to Lori about it sometime, and she sucks at keeping secrets, she hated keeping secrets as she sucked at it, especially keeping a secret from Glenn.

Merina got a little bit of peace before Glenn walked in, making the girl groan. “Hey little Sister.” Glenn said with a smirk.

“You're only 5 mins older, now go away.” Marina whined, closing her eyes as she turned away from the male.

“I could, but Maggie's looking for you.” Glenn said, Merina groaned and pulled herself into a sitting position, shooting a glare towards Glenn who was smiling like a kid on Christmas Day.

“Tell Maggie I'm resting or Busy, make some excuse for me.” Merina said with a sigh as she rubbed her eyes.

“But she said it's important.” Glenn said with a smirk on his face causing the girl to groan again, “Plus, I told her you'll say that and she said if you don't come, she'll come looking and drag you.” Glenn added. she sent the boy yet another glare as she slid on her boots and grabbed her flannel before exiting the tent, flicking Glenn's forehead on the wince making him wince.

“Love you!” Glenn called after her, she could hear the smirk still on his face. She rolled her eyes.

“You're an asshole, Glenn!” Marina retorted before continuing on after hearing his chuckles. She didn't see Maggie outside so she must be in the house, Merina huffed as she began to walk into the direction of the house. She looked down at her boots as she walked, biting her lip as she walked to the house.

“Hey Merina.” Maggie said, sitting on the porch as she saw the girl walk up. Merina looked at her as she stepped up onto the porch, letting out a hum in response.

“C'mon inside, It's time to check your stitches and change your bandages.” Maggie said before leading inside, Merina followed Maggie closely behind.

Maggie led Marina to the room she had been in since she's been here. “Lay down on your side, I'll go get my dad.” Maggie said, Merina nodded and did as instructed.

After a few moments, Hershal walked in with Maggie close behind. “Hey Mernie.” Hershal said with a polite smile on his face. She sent a smile before feeling her shirt being slightly raised and the bandage being removed.

After a moment of silence, “The infection is gone, that's good, I think in a day or two you'll be able to be stitch free, but until then rest in the house.” Hershal informed the girl, she nodded back at him.

Hershal nodded at her before getting up and leaving the room, leaving just Maggie and Merina into the room. Merina slowly sat up as Maggie took a seat next to the girl.

“Get some rest.” Maggie said, grabbing the girl's hand giving it a comforting squeeze before giving the girl a smile then leaving the room.

Merina sighed as she walked over to the window, the sun slowly setting, she slid off her boots then her flannel that she wore loosely was off next before she slipped into bed, as soon as her head hit the pillow, she was out like a light.
