TRIGGER WARNING ⚠️ ⚠️
Mention of suicide!
Sorry for the horrible chapter,
It was rushed.Lori, Merina and Andrea waited in the kitchen, silently listening to Maggie and Beth's screaming match. The youngest Greene is still grieving over the loss of her mother, and wants to die to stop the pain.
Lori and Andrea were talking about something, but simply stayed quiet, letting the two women go on and on. Andrea tried to say to Lori it was Beth's decision to either live or die, and that she was wrong to take the knife away from Beth.
Though, Merina stayed out of the two women's conversation, she and Lori were surprised to hear Andrea say something like that. It was one of those things that made kinda sense but was also crazy. The two women's conversation turned into an argument quickly, which made Lori leave.
“You agree with me, don't you?” Andrea asked, crossing her arms as she stared at Merina who only looked up at the floor at her.
“No.” Merina said simply before leaving the kitchen and out of the house, taking a seat on the porch. Her elbows rested on her knees, she buried her face in her hands. Lori came over, sitting down next to the girl.
“Merina, how are you feeling?” Lori asked softly, Merina could hear the concern and worry in her voice— which she hated. She didn't want anyone to worry about her, everyone else had enough on their plate to worry about.
Merina looked up at Lori, dropping her hands to her knees. “I'm.. I'm fine, really.” Merina said, sending the women a closed lip smile but Lori wasn't convinced.
Lori opened her mouth to say something, but Maggie came out of the house making Lori stand up. “Did something happen with Beth?” Lori asked worriedly.
Maggie took a breath, “No,” Maggie said as she shook her head, her eyes flickering over to Merina who turned her head. “Andrea is sitting with her, told me to get some air.”
“I'll come with you.” Lori said as she patted Merina's shoulder before walking off with Maggie, stepping off the porch, Maggie sent Merina another glance.
Merina was left with silence, which she didn't mind, she looked down at the ground, she used to be alone or being with Glenn but whenever she is with Glenn tried to get her to rest or lay down somewhere lately, and Merina is never wanting too, not wanting to deal with another nightmare. she has to do it all night, doesn't want to make it apart with her day as well.
She felt her eyes drop, her heavy eyelids becoming heavier and heavier as if there were weights suddenly placed on them. Her eyes snapped open once she heard the sound of the door opening and closing and seeing Andrea walk out of the house and off the porch.
She bolted up, heading to the stairs. “Andrea? I thought you were sitting in with Beth for Maggie?” Merina asked confused, crossing her arms.
Andrea turned around, meeting the girls eyes and letting out a sigh. “She has to make the choice, either she wants to die or live.” Andrea stated before walking off again.
Merina felt her eyes widen before she scurried back inside the house, running to Beth's room and bolting inside. Her eyes scanned around the room for the blonde teen, but she wasn't anywhere in sight.
She heard something fall in the joined bathroom, her eyes flickered to the door seeing it shut. She rushed to the door, twisting the doorknob but it wasn't opening. “Beth?!” Merina yelled in worried. “Please, don't do this.”
Merina stepped back and tried to kick the door open, it didn't bulge. She kicked it again, only this time harder. Finally getting the door open, she saw Beth standing there, holding her wrist that was oozing crimson blood crying. “I'm sorry! I'm sorry!” beth kept repeating as she cried.
Merina rushed over to her, grabbing a towel and wrapping the towel around the cut on the blondes wrist. “Just breath, beth. You'll be okay.” Merina smoothed as she kept pressure on Beth's wound.
Maggie and Lori came in, stopping at the bathroom door. Seeing Merina keeping a towel pressed against Beth's wrist, blood on towel, Beth's hands and the floor.
Maggie rushed over, taking Merina's place, quickly leading Beth out of the bathroom and over to the beth. Lori quickly left the room, probably to find Hershal.
Maggie and Merina sat in the room with Beth, Maggie still holding the towel placed on Beth's wrist, the other one of Maggie's hand was gently stroking Beth's hair. Merina gave the two girls space, leaning against the dresser.
Hershal quickly walked in, seeing his two daughters and Merina with his kit. “I'll take it from here, you two can step out.” Hershal said, sending the pair a nod.
Merina was the first one out of the room, she walked down the hall and turned around once she heard Maggie rush out of the room and out of the house, Merina followed. Maggie stood on the porch, taking a moment to calm her pounding heart, Merina grasped her hand.
Maggie looked at Merina, calming down and embraced the girl in a tight hug which Merina quickly leaned into. Lori walked up on the porch, seeing the two. “What happened? I thought Andrea was sitting with her.”
“after You and Maggie left, Andrea came out and told me that Beth needed to discover what she wanted to do with her life.” Merina informed, looking between the two women. “That's when I found Beth in the bathroom, I had to break the door down.”
Maggie felt her blood boil, she looked past Lori to see Andrea heading straight for them. Maggie walked to the edge of the porch, an angry look on her face as the blonde made her way over.
Maggie had the most nastiest glare sent Andrea's way, Merina been on the other side of Maggie's evil eye but it was never the way Maggie was glaring at Andrea. “Where were you?” Maggie spoke angrily.
“I heard, is she alright?” Andrea answered, avoiding Maggie's question. 'Bad idea.' Merina thought as she watched the pair.
“She would be if you stayed with her, where were you?” Maggie asked again, angrily. Her glare never leaving the blonde.
“How bad is she?”
“It wasn't deep.”
