It had only taken a minute for things to go wrong, the water plumb broke off and Merina got too close to the walker, and soon though Merina was screaming and trying to make sure not to get grabbed.

“Grab it!”

“Grab it!”

“Pull her up!”

“goddammit, Pull!”

She could hear the group yelling and screaming too, yelling and trying to pull her back up as she continued to scream and yell. “Glenn! Maggie!”

“Keep pulling!!”

“Merina!!”

Get my sister out of there!”

Merina swiftly got pulled up, Lori, Maggie and Glenn at her side the moment she was on the surface. The girl was shaking, trembling and she was looking pale.

“are you okay?” She heard someone ask but she couldn't figure out who it was as she was too busy trying to calm her nervousness and holding her side.

Dale huffed, “Back to the drawing board.” Dale said with a defeated sigh, Merina stood up and gave him the group that was pulling and jerking, she sent him a glare before rushing off from the group holding her side.

Maggie watched the girl go, “I should check her stitches.” Maggie said with anger as she glared at Shane before following the girl who was walking off to the stable.

Maggie slowly walked into the stable, seeing the girl sitting on a stack of hay, with her face in her hands. “Hey, jumpy.” Maggie said as she walked closer to the girl, the girl slowly looked up.

Merina stood up and wrapped her arms around herself, she didn't say anything back to Maggie nor did she look at her. Maggie took a step closer and removed some hair out of Merina's face. “Calm down, you're safe.” Maggie said in a smoothing voice as she gently placed her hands on Marina's cheeks. “You know that, right?”

Merina laid her head down on Maggie's chest, hoping the taller girl wouldn't mind and thankfully the girl didn't as she wrapped her arms around her, in a tight but comforting hug.

Marina knew she had to be strong, like her brother. She tried to be, wanted to be but she couldn't help that she got more nervous than Glenn, and more things got more and more scary for her. She can kill walkers and do things she needs to do to survive but she isn't Glenn, She can't be two people at once but she wishes she could.

“You ready to go?” Maggie asked, her eyes narrowing at the shorter girl.

Merina nodded before Maggie led her to two saddled up horses, Maggie got on one and she struggled to get on the other, she lifted one leg up but quickly fell onto her back causing Maggie to laugh.

Merina glared at the girl, “Sorry, Sorry. Continue.” Maggie said as she tried to bite back a smile. Marina rolled her eyes as she pulled herself up and this time, successfully got up on the horse. “there you go, you got it.”

The two rode the horses out of the stable, Maggie took a glance over at the well to see T-dog beating the Walker's face that was in the well. Her eyes widened and she felt the color wash off her face, a grim look fell on her face.

The two rode the houses off the farm and made their way to the town, Maggie hadn't said a world to the girl but she looked mad, or upset. Merina could tell but she didn't want to disturb the girl.

For Maggie, her mind was drifting back to the well, her mind was replaying when the same moment of T-dog basting the Walker's head in.

“You didn't have to come with me, you could've just told Rick to send me.” Merina said softly, bowing her head as Maggie turned her head to look at her.

Maggie huffed, shaking her head. “Why? Why would I do that?” Maggie asked, her eyes flickered to Mernie.

Mernie didn't respond, only keeping her gaze low. Why would Maggie do that? Again, why would Maggie even speak to her?

“there are things I do alone or just with Glenn.” Mernie mumbled with a shrug, but Maggie didn't respond to her any further. The two continued to ride the horses further into town. “Are you okay?”

Maggie let out a sigh, “I'm fine.” Maggie said as she continued on but Merina didn't believe her.

“I saw your face at the well is all, Never been one killed before?” Marina asked as she looked over at Maggie, but once again the girl didn't reply which only made her assume that Maggie never seen one be killed like that. “We all had too... You get used to it.”

Maggie sighed, “whoa, I guess so,” Maggie said as she stopped infront of the pharmacy, there was a sigh in the window, "take what you need and God Bless.”

The two girls scurried off the horse and made their way into the pharmacy. Maggie was first, “I'll see what antibiotics are left. What else is on the list?” Maggie asked.

Mernie pulled the list out of her pocket and handed it over to Maggie. “Why don't you go get started?” She asked with a small smile on her face.

Maggie opened the list, reading what's on it before her eyes flickered up to Marina. “what about you?” Maggie asked.

Merina looked around, “Gonna take a look around, see if there's anything worth grabbing.” Merina lied, Maggie seemed to believe her as she only nodded her head and walked off to the back.

Merina grabbed a small blue basket before looking around, she found a couple batteries, a flashlight and then made her way to the feminine hygiene section. Her eyes flickered around for what she was looking for.

A pregnancy test

Pregnancy test for Lori

Merina rolled her eyes before throwing the item in her bag. “what do you got?” Maggie's voice said from behind her causing her to jump.

Merina groaned as Maggie chuckled, “I really Hate it when you do that.”
