Merina was woken up by Andrea, telling her dinner was ready. She nodded at the blonde before sliding out of bed and putting on her shoes. She exited the room, tightening her messy ponytail as a yawn escaped her lips.

She walked into the dining room, Shane was already talking to Carl about something Merina didn't even want to pay attention to. She saw Maggie coming into the room, her eyes stared on her for a moment.

“Lori, Dinner!” Carol yelled, going to leave the kitchen and into one of the backrooms.

“She's not in there.” Patricia said as she finished laying the food out on the table. Carol turned around, a confused look on her face.

“Where is she?” Carol asked confused, she had already chuckled the women's tent before she came into the house, knowing the girl wasn't there.

“Carl, when was the last time you saw your mom?” Shane asked, looking over at the boy beside him.

“This afternoon, with Mernie.” The boy said with a confused look on his face, his eyes flickering over to the girl.

“she broke off from me to go find T-dog and Andrea, seeing if one of them would go to town with her.” Merina mumbled, but loud enough for the group to hear her. Shifting nervously under everyone's eyes.

“She never spoke to me today.” T-dog spoke up, looking at Shane before looking back at Merina.

“She was worried sick about Rick, she asked me to look in on Carl.” Andrea said as Shane looked towards her, crossing her arms over her chest.

“She went after them?” Carol said with a soft voice, a worried look on her face. Her eyes flickering between the group.

Andrea sighed, “She didn't say that!” Andrea said, looking at Carol as she shook her head.

“Nobody panic, gonna be around here somewhere.” Shane said as he stood up from the table, the group began to spread out.

Merina sighed before she grabbed a pair of keys and walked out of the door, Maggie followed after her. Merina walked to the green SUV, opening the door but Maggie closed it before she could get in.

“No.” Maggie said sternly, her face hardening as she stared at Merina.

“She has to be on her way there, in the middle of the night. Alone.” Merina said before trying to open the door again, but Maggie did it again, slamming the door before she could get in. “Maggie! I'm going!”

“No you're not, Merina. You're black and blue, you need to rest and heal before you do another risk.” Maggie said as Shane walked over, Maggie sent him a glare, she knew Shane had to be the reason for Merina's bruises, but didn't want to say anything.

“She's right, I'll go.” Shane said, Merina sighed before tossing him the keys and moving away from the car. Maggie sighed as the girl pushed past her, back to ignoring her.

Merina sat down on the porch, Maggie sent her a glance before continuing on into the house. Carl was sitting on the steps, Merina sighed before walking over and sitting down next to him.

“Are you alright, Sheriff?” Merina said with a soft chuckle, looking at the boy who looked at her with grin.

“I'm fine, I'm just...worried about my mom, and dad.” Carl said with a sigh, the grin slowly disappearing off his face, bowing his head to his lap.

“I know how you feel,” Merina said as she looked at the farm, it was peaceful at night. Calming.

“Because of Glenn?” Carl asked, looking over at the girl as he rested his arms over his knees.

“Mhm, but I know he's coming back, all of them.” Merina answered, sending the boy a small smile.

Carl looked at her, another look of confusion on his face. “How?” Carl asked, squinting his eyes at her.

“Because Glenn said he would, I have hope.” Merina said, the boy looked a little relaxed, but she could still he was still worried. “now, go eat your dinner before it gets cold.”

Carl nodded before getting up and walking inside the house, leaving Merina all alone in the dark. The girl took one last glance at the fields, and the farm as it was surrounded by darkness. She found it to be peaceful, nobody was around, nobody was gonna talk to her.

Her eyes flickered to the sky, seeing all the stars and moon. She stayed there for awhile, in her own little world. Merina took her own advice and go eat dinner, she sighed as she walked back into the house, coming face to face with Maggie.

Maggie's eyes scanned Merina up and down before looking into the girls eyes, “I was about to come find you for dinner.” Maggie said, crossing her arms over her chest.

Merina nodded before walking past Maggie, making the girl sigh and roll her eyes before walking after her. The two walked in to see everyone at the table, everyone that's still on the farm that is, expect for Beth.

Merina sat down by Carl, seeing the boy already eating. She ruffled his hair, making him laugh and swat her hands away. The group began to eat, all in silence. Merina's eyes flickered to Maggie who was taking glances of the girl every few minutes.

The group jumped up once they saw headlights pulling up. Andrea was the first one to speed out of the house, the group following her. Merina grabbed ahold of Carl before walking outside with him, being the last two out.

Shane and Lori were the ones back, Lori was bruised and bleeding. Merina's eyes scanned the scene, Lori was glaring at Shane. “You asshole!” Lori said a dry chuckle, with the anger still visible on her face.

“Lori.” Shane tried to say but Lori didn't let him say anything further. “He's my husband!”

Shane sighed, shaking his head. “Lori, I will go after him, I will find him.” Shane said as he rubbed his head. “I will, but I have to make sure you're alright, and I have to make sure the baby is ok.”

Merina felt Carl's hand slip away from her, running to where he can be seen by his mother. “You're having a baby, why didn't you tell me?”
