Sophie's POV
I've made mental list of questions to ask Dad's boss when we arrive at his office :
*Why did you come to Dorothy's surf off?
*On the night of Dad's dissaperance, when did he leave the office?
*Do you think he was a good worker?"Sophie"
*Did any of his co-workers find him irritating?
*How many hours did our dad work on average?
*Did you notice any out of character behavior the night of his dissaperance?"Sophie"
*How significantly did he impact the company?
*Did he state the reason why he needed to leave on the day of his dissaperance?
*Did he have coworkers who he worked with him on a daily basis?
*Did...
"Miss Gordon"
*Why didn't you attend his memorial?
I felt something wet hit my face. It was spitball. It snapped me back to reality. "Miss Gordon I see your back to earth now", Mrs Myres, my maths teacher, shot at me. The whole class was staring at me."Sorry", I replied, truth is I was having a hard time concentrating after Dorothy's relevelation, it made me extremely uneasy.
I looked around the class to identify the person who hurled the spitball at me. I noticed Bella holding a straw and laughing with a minion I mean friend. Why am I trying to lie to myself? She has minions. Alex is a multibillonaire but when I asked Mom where Alex works at she didn't know which is really strange considering she's his girlfriend and she should know that kind of information.
However, my mom has a fashion line that makes billions every month.
So since Bella's dad is extremely wealthy, she is practically the queen bee and she tramples over every anyone who stands in her path
I guess I'll just ignore her before she made my life worse than it already is. Dad's absence has left a massive scar that hasn't healed over all these years. I don't need anyone to worsen it for me.
"Tonight, read chapter 5 and 6 we will discuss it in class tomorrow. Thank you all for your time", Mrs Myres said as she wrapped up the class.
Students began scrambling out the door to get ready for their next classes. I dumped the items on my desk into my backpack. As I walked out of the classroom, I decided it was the right thing to apologize to Mrs Myres again since she is one of the nicest teachers in the whole school.
"Mrs Myres, I would like to apologize for my behavior during class. I had a lot on my mind", I remorsefully told her.
"It's okay, Soph I know you're still struggling with your father's demise", She said with a forgiven expression.
He's not dead I told myself."Thanks, see you tomorrow", I said sounding relieved.
I made my way to my locker and saw Theo beaming so much I thought he had won the lottery.
"Babe, guess what", He said his excitement overflowing.
"You won the lottery ", I replied.
He burst out laughing, "No, but even if I won the lottery I'd probably donate it because my father is a billonaire. I got an A in Biology".
"And you're happy why ? ", I asked in a teasing tone.
"Oh come on you know I suck at biology", He said sounding disappointed.
"I know just teasing ", I replied rolling my eyes at him.
"I thought you'd be proud of me", he pouted.
I let out a laugh, "I am".Theo is a very sweet guy and I love that about him.
I began to stuff and take books out of my locker as Theo continued to rant about how his older brother thinks he's better than him.
