Dorothy's POV

I sat nervously on the beach while my coach tried to give me last-minute tips.

"You're making me nervous," I said agitated.

"Just calm down. It's redemption time either now or never you can't drop out Gordon," My coach hammered the fact in.

My anxiety started to spike drastically.

"I need to go and get something from my car," I stood up and I could feel her glare piercing through me.

I turned on the A/C to see if the cool air could calm me down.

I heard someone knock on my car window. It was Zara.

I let her in and I told her about how anxious I was. She always had a way to calm me down.

"Calm down okay, I know you'll win. I have faith in you," Zara said exiting the car.

Sophie's POV

There's something about Mr Brian that is just odd.

I just had to craft a plan to get answers. First, fake an ankle injury.

I waited for Mr Brian's car to drive by and began to limp.

His car came screeching to a stop.

"Babe, are you okay," Theo asked concerned.

"I tripped on the edge of the stairs and may have sprained my ankle. Don't worry I can walk. It's only 6 miles away," I told him.

Mr Brian sighed ,"If you're injured we can't let you walk that distance. You can enter the car."

"Oh, it's okay. I'll be fine," I need to make him think I'm reluctant.

"Oh come Babe. I'm sure it hurts," Theo pleaded.

"Fine," I entered the car and joined him in the back seat and then I noticed Tim, "Tim, I didn't know you were here."

"Hi Soph," Tim said going back to his laptop.

The next part of my plan, find a good place to hide my phone.

I opened up my bag and let the contents drop into the car phone.

I slightly kicked the phone under the passenger's seat.

"I'm such a klutz. I'm so sorry," I bent over and started putting my things back into my bag.

"Let me help you," Theo scrambled to help.

"Oh, it's fine," Before I picked up the last item on the ground. Ensuring my phone was hidden in plain sight.

"Mr Brian, can I ask you a question?" I asked carefully.

"Go ahead," Mr Brian said much to my surprise.

"Umm, Did you see my Dad on the day he disappeared?" I interrogated him with full caution.

"I don't like to answer questions about your father, I think we all need to move on," Mr Brian explained, "I said all I needed to say about him to the police."

"Thanks, anyways," I responded, "I just really miss him that's all".

Theo placed his arm around me to try to comfort me. He probably noticed I was disappointed by my answer.

Theo tucked my hair behind my ear and softly whispered in my ear, "Are you okay?"

"No, my dad has been missing for five years and they didn't try to look for him earlier. I would be okay if they had told me what happened to him,"I whispered trying to hold myself together.
