Sophie's POV
My eyes slowly fluttered open. I saw something white.
Was I alive?
I looked around and saw a machine.
Beeping.
I could hear beeping. I was in the hospital. I lived.
I weakly lifted my hand and felt the back of my head. It was bandaged.
It wasn't all over just the back of my head.
So I lived.
I found the person who kidnapped my Dad.
It was Mr Brian.
It was Mr Brian all along.
Theo was in on it too.
He wasn't satisfied with taking my dad.
They both tried to kill me.
Dorothy's POV
Mr Brian has my Dad somewhere. Ryan Trivillle unintentionally almost killed my Mom. Mr Brian and Theo were on the brink of suffocating Sophie.
I spent the whole night sobbing.
Why?
Why? I kept asking myself.
The image of Sophie covered in blood kept replaying in my mind.
I walked into Sophie's room and she was awake but barely moving.
I hugged and she moved a little.
"You're so so stupid. I told you to wait. Wait for me to come home so they couldn't do anything to you but you didn't listen, "I told her.
"I'm sorry," She said her voice very faint.
"Don't apologize. At least you lived," I answered.
"Mr Brian kidnapped Dad. Theo helped him. They didn't kill Dad. Dad is alive," She said.
"I would have never imagined Theo doing something like that," I said.
I sat down next to her.
I looked on the bedside cabinet next to her bed to read her diagnosis.
