Dorothy's POV
I walked downstairs. Still trying to shake off the remnants of sleep.
When I reached the living room I saw
Sophie holding the TV remote.
"Oh come on, Soph I need to watch the surf off I couldn't go to,"I whined a little.
"I'm not gonna give you the remote," Sophie replied stubbornly.
She turned on the TV and a breaking new alert flashed on the screen.
"We have some breaking news coming in Ryan Trivillle, a senior manager at the Brian's company has been arrested on charges of causing a fatal car accident," the new reporter continued, "Mr Trillive was involved in the car accident with famous fashion designer Ashley Gordon. The case is now being processed to be taken to court and Mr Trillive is charged with causing the accident."
What happened? What changed?
"Detective Inspector Tyson Howards says that he and his team are still investigating the case to gather more evidence," The news reporter continued.
"I'm sure it's after what I told Tyson. He probably thinks this will stop me from exposing him," Sophie smirked.
"Well Trillive kinda deserves it," I said.
"I know but..."Sophie started to talk before her phone started to ring.
" Okay... yeah... sure... I'll be there in about 20 minutes, "Sophie said before she hung up.
"So what was the phone call about and if it's Theo so help me, " I was about to say before she cut me off.
"It's Trillive he made his only phone call to me. Strange isn't it," Sophie said.
"Well, you can't go like this?" I said pointing out her pajamas.
"I just wanted to stay home and chill", Sophie mumbled as she went upstairs.
Sophie's POV
"You have only 10 minutes but it if you feel uncomfortable Sophie just call me okay," Tyson explained.
I just ignored him and entered the investigation room.
"So I see you're finally arrested," I smirked as I moved closer and closer to his chair.
He was wearing an orange prison jumpsuit with, his hands handcuffed behind the chair.
"So you did this," Trillive remarked.
"I was as shocked as anyone to hear that you'd been arrested. I didn't get you here. You got yourself here," I retorted.
"Sophie I'm innocent. Look at this," He showed me a receipt for... brake fluid.
I just stared at it.
"Before you came to accuse me of killing your father I went to buy brake fluid because it was too hard for me to break. It wasn't me someone did something to it. My doorbell camera picked up someone trespassing," He confessed.
"So you didn't have the intention to kill my mom?" I interrogated.
"If don't believe me go get a lie detector your dad made an advanced version with 99.999% accuracy. The police use it now," Trillive's frustration boiling.
I stepped out of the room and asked "Tyson can I get a lie detector in the room?" I asked making Tyson jump.
Without asking why, he walked away returned to me and handed me a lie detector.
I mumbled a quick thanks and went back to the room.
After Tyson hooked him up he left the room in a rush.
