Sophie's POV

Dorothy had already gone to the party with her friends while stuck at Nichole's house trying to pick a good outfit. According to Nichole, none of my outfits were party-worthy.

"I've shown you like 30 billion outfits from your closet and some of mine, but you have rejected all of them," I ranted in frustration.

"Okay, Soph, I have one, and it's a little out of your comfort zone, but... " Nichole brought out a small, cropped, white top and baggy medium-washed jeans.

"That is way out of my comfort zone but is it necessary?" I asked.

"You've never been to a party like this, plus you have pretty curves, " Nichole commented.

I went to her bathroom and put her outfit on and picked up my light blue jacket.

We drove to the party location, and when we were about to enter  Ryan's house, I felt Nichole grab my hand.

"If you don't feel comfortable, just call me okay, we can use a code word like, " Nichole tried to think of a code word.

"How about palm trees?" I suggested.

"Well, hello, Miss Genius," she replied.

Once we entered, my ears were instantly filled with the sound of upbeat party music; it caused the
whole house to pulse like a living thing, the walls vibrating with the thumping. Neon lights danced across the walls, casting an electric glow over the sea of laughing, dancing bodies.

The air was alive with the hum of excitement. Confetti and balloons floated through the air, swept up by the whirlwind of movement.

In the corners, clusters of teens huddled, sharing secrets and laughter. Others played video games; their competitive spirits fired up.

So yes definitely not the atmosphere I was used to... at all. Making me feel very uneasy.

After moving through the crowds of people, I found Dorothy and pulled her aside

"Look for, you know what, "I told her.

"Sure. Did Nichole pick that outfit for you because I know you didn't?" Dorothy quizzed me with a smug grin.

"Shut up," I retorted playfully, she just laughed, and we went our separate ways.

As I strode away, I felt someone hold onto me.

"Hey, Gorgeous. " It was Theo.

"Hi,". I responded.

"I need to look for something upstairs. Coming?" he queried me.

"Why not?" I replied.

I followed him upstairs, going up the tower of stairs.

When we got upstairs. Theo shoved me against the wall and slammed his lips against mine.

I pushed him away.

"Babe, don't be like that," He told me, his voice sounding husky.

"You're never aggressive. What's gotten into you?" I asked coldly.

"Nothing," He slipped his hands around my waist.

I removed his hands from my waist.

"What did you take?" I persisted.

"Nothing, Babe. Just wanted to talk to you" He continued.

"I need to pee. I'll be back." I left him standing there, I was feeling very uncomfortable. He has a lot to explain after he's back in his right senses.
