Chapter 6

Sophie's POV

I pulled up at Theo's house. I needed to apologize for acting so cold to him and ignoring his texts and calls for the past few days.

Just because I was angry with Bella didn't mean I needed to act like that towards him. He didn't deserve it he's a really sweet guy.

After thinking if I should go home and text him to apologize then realized if I called him that would make me a trash girlfriend. I worked up the courage and rang the doorbell.

"Hey, Beautiful, "Theo's dirty blonde hair was wet. Stop thinking about that Sophie apologized.

"Babe, I'm sorry for the way I acted on Friday it was wrong and ignoring your texts and calls..." I continued.

He placed his index finger on my lips, "Shut up, you're word vomiting," He told me with a smile.

"So you've forgiven me then, " I tried not to push anything too far.

"All is forgiven," he said with a smile, "Come in. "

"Sophie?!" It was Mr Brian.

"Who do we have here?" Mrs Brian said.

"Mom, Dad um this is Sophie Gordon my girlfriend," Theo told his parents. My mom knew I was dating Theo but not Theo's parents, he was yet to tell them.

"Well this is new information," Mrs Brian said confused, "Come have breakfast with us."

"I'm sure she has somewhere to be," Mr Brian retorted.

"No I can have breakfast, my mom wouldn't mind," I told him.

We sat down at their dining room "Nelson how did you know Sophie? but I didn't?" Theo's Mom asked very confused as to what was going on.

"She's one of David Gordon's daughters," Mr Brian replied.

"I see so sorry about your father. I have a few questions for you, Theodore. When did you start dating and why didn't you tell us?" Mrs Brian interrogated Theo.

"Mrs Brian," My voice was sounding tiny.

"Call me Tiana," Mrs Brian answered.

"Tiana, we were supposed to tell you today and we only started dating in January, "I confessed.

"I see, so I am assuming that your mother is Ashely Gordon she's a very famous fashion designer I would love to meet her soon. Nelson let's invite them to the dinner party this evening at 7 it would be simply splendid to have them, " Mrs Gordon was practically beaming so that's where Theo gets his dazzling smile from.

"They probably already have plans, " Mr Brian blurted out nearly choking on his bacon.

"No we are free tonight, "I responded. Perfect opportunity to investigate this house for Dad's case for any leads.

"Are you sure don't you have somewhere to be? Your mother is a very busy woman, " Mr Brian persisted.

"We're free. We'll be there at seven pm on. The. Dot. Thanks for having me see you at seven, " I stood up and walked out of the door feeling very confident in my decision.

I called Mom and Dorothy and filled them in on the dinner party. They both agreed we were going to come. Mom agreed she'd pick out our outfits. Dorothy and I would have done it ourselves but we needed to talk to Emma. I picked Dorothy up and we were headed to Emma's house.

"We're here. I'll do the talking, According to James it's hard to make her talk," Dorothy said.

"Sure, sure. Well, the Dori I know can strike up a conversation with anyone so lead the way Sarge," I told her with a smirk on my face.
