I wake up and realize I'm somewhere unfamiliar. I sit up. Then it all comes back to me. "I really fucked this nigga." I cover my face smiling. I was wild for that but it was good.

Still, I had to get the hell out of here. I was glad he wasn't still asleep. I quickly get dressed and put on my shoes. I go into the bathroom and use his mouthwash. Then I head for the door, only to open it and be met by him holding drinks and food in his hands. "Oh, what's up Zay?" I say guilty.

He just smiles. "Mind stepping aside so I can come into my room?"

I move back so he can come in. Then I close the door behind me. He sits the food on the counter. He separates the food, leaving some in the bag. Then he hands me my drink and food. "You were leaving right?"

"I uh, have something to do." I take the stuff from him.

He opens his food and unravels the napkin from around his silverware. "Cool, don't let me hold you up."

"Preciate everything and the food too."

"We had fun." He takes a bite of his food.

"And don't take this as me tryna dip out...imma call you."

"We'll be in touch anyways and my friend Andre is flying in soon. We may have a way to get all this wrapped up by the end of the week. But for today, just enjoy your birthday." He doesn't look back at me once.

"Aaight. You sho we good?"

"Boom we fucked. It's not like I was a virgin and need babying. We're both adults who desired each other and let that sexual tension win. Don't insult me like I'm an idiot. You are definitely doing the old 'Hit and run' I'm fine. I wasn't expecting you to cuddle and poor out your feelings and ask me to be your boyfriend or some shit. Just thought you could at least eat."

"Yeah." I stand there feeling awkward. "Imma go."

He puts his hand up. "Bye."

When I get to my car and sit down, there's a gift sitting in the passenger seat. I pick it up and read the note.

I don't know all of the things that make you, you. So, I figured a day of things that might relax you would do.

Maybe swap out bad memories today and just be happy.

I open the box and it's a list of things I am to do and it's all been taken care of. Everything says the time and place and then paid.

Get car washed & detailed
Get a outfit
Dinner with your friends on me
Spend the night with me (optional)

"Damn." I can't help but smile. This is a grown ass man. I feel a little nervous. I can't help but laugh a little as I start driving.
