"Alpha, thank you for your hospitality," Aidan said to him. The Alpha bowed his head, and Aidan turned back to her. "Your things?"
"In the hallway," she said, turning to the door. She opened it up and walked outside, starting to pick it up.
"I've got it," her father spoke up.
"Thank you," she said, and followed him downstairs and outside. The SUV was parked close by the front door, and Aidan opened the passenger side door for her. "You don't want to sit up front?"
"Nope. You can sit up there with your dad," he told her.
"Thanks." She crawled in, and Aidan shut the door behind her before crawling in the back. Bianca glanced back at him, but he'd pulled out his phone. She saw his jaw clench and wondered if it had to do with his brother.
The ride back to the plane was relatively short and she stared up at it. She knew he'd flown in on a private plane. Regal Eclipse always did. She was going to be alone with him again. She couldn't imagine the flight would be very long.
Aidan grabbed her bags out of the vehicle, and after Bianca hugged her father one last time, she walked with him over to the plane. They boarded, and she glanced around. It was much nicer than she'd expected.
"Sit anywhere you want," Aidan said as he put her bags in the compartment.
Bianca sat down in a seat and watched him sit down across from her. His phone began to ring, and he pulled it out of his pocket, then answered it.
"Hey."
She wasn't trying to listen to the conversation, but it was hard not to.
"Hey. You still in Michigan?" It was a man on the other line.
"Planes getting ready to take off here in a few minutes." Aidan stretched his legs out in front of him.
"She with you?"
Bianca dropped her gaze as she realized they were discussing her. She felt Aidan's eyes on her and hoped she wasn't blushing.
"She is," Aidan confirmed.
"So, she agreed?"
"Not exactly."
She knew she was blushing now.
"How are you doing?"
"Take a wild guess," Aidan muttered.
"Xavier's heading back to California. Cole and Logan are going with him."
"Why?" Bianca heard his voice change.
"He left his mate there. We had no idea. He didn't say a word to any of us about her. She worked in the saloon with him."
"What? Xavier was working at a saloon?" She could hear the amusement in his voice.
"Yeah. Like a male review type of place. Not that he was dancing. Just serving. Shirtless."
Aidan laughed at that and Bianca couldn't help but look up at him. He seemed genuinely happy to hear about Xavier and she wondered what all had happened with him. Aidan flashed a smile at her. A real one that lit up his entire face. She couldn't help but smile back at him. "I'm never letting him live that down."
"Kyra said he was pretty popular among the ladies."
"When will he be back?"
"Hopefully soon. There was a lot of shit that went down right before we left. A rogue killed Alpha Luke, then Xavier killed the rogue in self defense and Luke's son was about to challenge him when Kyra walked up and stopped them. I'm not a hundred percent sure what happened with his mate, but he was so overwhelmed by everything else that was happening, he didn't tell us about her at all."
